🧑‍🚀 Un Nuevo Camino by Mark Rivera aka Kidnetick. @markriverapr

This was a great piece that many interacted with. Unfortunatly I didn’t get it at night as I believe there was a tv playing from inside the helmets you could watch.

🎨 The artist describes it as:
Child and parent in space suits who are carrying their home town in their backbacks while seeking a better future. The child leads the way.

🔎 Once up close you begin to see the hidden meanings and a clear message…

¡Este Jíbaro todavía sigue aquí, de pie! ¡Nada lo detiene! ¡Un guerrero!
A veces vengo a visitarlo para acordarme de que ese Jíbaro soy... yo! This Jibaro is still here! Still standing! A Warrior! Nothing can stop him! Some times I come here to remind myself that Jibaro is... actually me taken in Reno, Nevada by @autobiographica

In Culebra, Puerto Rico, a discarded war tank wheel becomes a sun. Its 13 rays honor the 13 imprisoned protesters who defended their land against military bombing and sparked a movement that defeated the world’s largest military through resistance. This piece is a reminder that protest transforms oppression into power, and that civil rights are won by those who stand up to injustice.
