“Wresting With Life” - A Documentary Last weekend, I got to watch Smackdown which was my only second time experiencing professional wrestling live. My first time was during a documentary project my program’s final, and It was a very unique one. The film followes Shayne Smith, a Paralympian whose passion for professional wrestling helped him overcome major hardships in his life. A huge thank you to our director, @alexa.b_23 , and producer, @amandmuh , for trusting me, guiding me throughout the project, answering all my wrestling-related questions, and providing me with incredible footage and insights to learn from. Many, many thanks to @shaynesmith25 and his family for sharing such an unbelievable and inspiring story with us. Thank you to @demandlucha for allowing me to get close to the ring and capture the action, and to all the wrestlers who participated in the show. And finally, a heartfelt thank you to all my friends who supported me and helped me throughout this journey. This project was an unforgettable experience, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been a part of it. “The Undertow” - Tiff Next Wave 48-Hour Film Challenge This is an annual challenge that my friends and I are always thrill to be part of. Congratulations to everyone involved who has completed the very challenging task. Thank you for making it possible. Filming in daylight has many advantages, one of which is the natural glow that is hard to replicate in artificial conditions. However, it also poses a big challenge, as you have no control over the lighting. You need to predict the best hours to shoot, constantly check the weather app, and ensure that your location is perfectly aligned with the direction of the sun. This project has shown me a valuable technique that I will continue to explore in the future.
