Growing older when old is not as fun as it was when I was younger, but we still celebrate, we still thank God and hope for another beautiful year. To an year added♥️♥️ by @kikygatimu

Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining fellow Nature Kenya committee members in representing the Habitat Restoration Committee (HARI) during a field visit to Thogoto Forest.

Walking beneath its dense canopy, surrounded by the sounds of birds, insects, and rustling leaves, was a reminder of how much life our forests quietly sustain.

One of the highlights of the visit was interacting with members of the Insect Committee, Plant Committee, Bird Committee and the Samaki Working Group. It was fascinating to see how each group views the forest from a different perspective, yet all contribute to understanding and protecting its ecological health. We were fascinated to come across a crystal-clear river in Thogoto Forest, which the forest scouts told us eventually forms part of the Mbagathi River. It is one of the cleanest rivers I have ever seen. Along its banks, nearby communities practice agriculture, while the river also serves as a place of prayer and spiritual retreat, adding to the serenity and significance of this beautiful forest. by @kikygatimu

Conservation in Africa has taken a great turn from conferences to community. A week ago I was invited by a good friend to be a live book in Liverary Kenya 5.0 , a leaf plucked from the Philippines and made Kenyan to celebrate science, policy and story telling in a community of young conservators. We say we are today's leaders and this amazing consortium has made it a possible term of reference. Thank you @thespacnetwork @seroneybrian ❤️ @batterytour @boniface.waharrison @johnsonongany @jackson_gatimu @ndirangu_snr @henuvictor and all that made this possible. To conservation president carbon 💀💀 by @kikygatimu

Rotary is an amazing platform, this one year as president it has made me confident, audacious, assertive and a really fun person.
