It’s been a week since I competed at the ADCC Youth World Championship, and I think I needed this week to really process everything that happened.

Last week was tough. I didn’t get the results I wanted, and honestly, it humbled me. But after having a week to reflect, I also realize how incredibly honored I was to even be considered among some of the best young grapplers in the world.

My ADCC journey started in October 2025 at the ADCC New Jersey Open. That was the first time I ever stepped onto an ADCC mat. I never imagined that just a few months later, I would receive an invitation to compete at the ADCC Youth World Championship.

What makes this journey even more special is that Jiu-Jitsu isn’t my forte. I’m an MMA fighter. I don’t train Jiu-Jitsu every day, I don’t spend my days at a Jiu-Jitsu academy, and I don’t hold an official Jiu-Jitsu belt.

I’ve taken what I’ve learned through my MMA training and brought it onto the Jiu-Jitsu mats. Everything I’ve accomplished in this art has come from sheer will, grit, determination, hard work, and refusing to give up.

At Tiger Schulmann’s MMA, I’ve spent years working to earn my title of Sempai, which means Student Black Belt. That journey has taught me that nothing worth achieving comes easy.

I may not have gotten the results I wanted at Worlds, but I walked away with something just as important — experience, humility, and an even stronger desire to get better.

I’m proud and honored that I got the opportunity to test myself against some of the best young grapplers in the world. I’ll never take that opportunity for granted.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, believed in me, prayed for me, and cheered me on.

My journey is just beginning. I have a lot more to learn and a lot more work ahead of me, but I’m not giving up on my dream of becoming the best fighter I can be and one day pursuing a career in MMA.

I truly believe God has a greater plan for me, and I believe this experience is part of that plan. 🙏

So I’ll keep my head up, keep training, keep learning, and keep pushing forward.

This isn’t the end.

It’s just another step in my journey.

And I’m just getting started. 🦁💪🥋🥊

Tonight was a special one. 🤼‍♂️

The Outsiders Wrestling Club honored their State Champions, and I received my own championship tile that will be placed on the ceiling of the club. 🏆

Knowing that my name and accomplishments will be up there permanently is something really special. Every practice, every tough match, every win, every loss, and every sacrifice helped earn that spot.

CAM GARCIA — 75 LBS
FREESTYLE & FOLKSTYLE STATE CHAMP 2026 🥇🥇

Now every time I walk into that wrestling room,I’ll be able to look up and be reminded of what hard work can accomplish.

This is something nobody can ever take away from me.

Thank you to The Outsiders Wrestling Club. Thank you Coach Ant and all my teammates who continue to push me, and help me grow.

Forever part of the ceiling. Forever part of Outsiders history. 💪🔥
