Earned in the field.
Finished over fire.

No perfect setup. No clean edges.
Just smoke, steel, and doing right by the bird.

This is what it’s supposed to feel like.

Oklahoma done right.

Teal in the morning. Sandhill crane. Great beef. Everything finished over live fire.

Good hunting. Good people. Smoke in the air and something worth eating at the end of the day.

This is what KillerChefs is about.

Day two of our Oklahoma Dove & Teal School.

The guys shot great this morning and came back with plenty of teal. Now the real work starts.

Hank Shaw walking the group through how to properly pluck and handle their birds before we take them to the fire.

That’s what these schools are about — not just pulling the trigger, but understanding the entire process from the field to the plate.

Tonight, we cook teal.

We are KillerChefs
Good food doesn’t start around the fire
It starts long before daylight
In the field
On the road
Through the rain
And in the work it takes to get there.
My truck carries everything I need
My Peragon cover keeps it protected
So I can chase the next adventure
And hunt up a good meal by @killerchefs

Honoring those who gave everything this Memorial Day weekend with good food, good people, and full hearts. Crawfish boil and oysters on the grill — the best way we know how to come together. #MemorialDayWeekend #CrawfishBoil #GrilledOysters #NeverForget by @killerchefs

Storm rolled through hard last night. Rain, hail, mud everywhere.

Gear stayed dry. Locked down. Ready to go this morning.

That’s all I really need out here.

Weekend well spent at the lease: dove hunts in the morning, tools in hand by the afternoon. Got more done on the mini lodge, cooked up some eats, and kept the bath house project rolling. by @killerchefs

I think North Texas is totally going to loose out on teal season this year. Starting on the 20th?! Back in 2018 is was on the 15th 2023 it was the 9th. Not sure how Austin figures these things out apparently it’s a 20 sided dice. Oh well I’ll still be out there watching the sunrise #duckhuntingchef #huntupagoodmeal #killerchefs #tealseason #duckhunting by @killerchefs

Thinking about October and the waterfowl event food. @sitkagear #dallas obviously duck! 💯 by @killerchefs
