Happy 22nd Birthday to our Kennedy! ❤️

What a gorgeous soul this girl has! Inside and out, she is just something special. I love how she loves God, how fiercely she loves her people, and how she’s the absolute best dachshund mom! She’s our free spirit, creative soul, and someone who has always marched to the beat of her own drum. Watching her become the woman she is today has been such a gift. We are so incredibly proud of her heart, her faith, and the person she is. She is everything to us, and we love her more than words could ever say!

Happy birthday, sweet girl! ❤️ by @kim_reding

Dear Dad,

Hi. It’s me again. Man this last year went by fast. Life is still different without you. October 17th. One whole year. I think we’re all still learning how to adjust to a world without you in it. A lot of people have gone down this road, I guess it’s our turn now.

Mom is doing okay. But I think about how much her life has changed. The homemaker who made everything from scratch, always finding some new recipe or fun dish to spoil you with, doesn’t really have anyone to do that for anymore. Well, except Cleo. ❤️ And thank goodness for Cleo. I think she’s keeping Mom going in more ways than she knows.

Mom misses her best friend. And Pam and I? We still miss our dad.

I still find myself wanting to call you. To send you a song I know you’d love, talk about a book you’re reading, or tell you something funny that happened. Sometimes it’s when I’m sad, and sometimes it’s when I’m excited about something. And then I remember I can’t just pick up the phone. So instead, I find myself talking out loud to you, hoping somehow my words make their way to heaven.

The kids are doing so well, Dad. You’d be so proud of them. They miss you, too. They miss your conversations, your encouragement, and the way you gave them your undivided attention. They are such beautiful humans with the most loving souls. And you know what? The older I get, the more I realize what a gift that was.

Words of encouragement and undivided attention. It’s so simple, yet somehow we make it so complicated. But you didn’t. You made people feel like what they had to say mattered. Like they mattered. What a beautiful lesson you left us. Thank you for that.

My heart aches, Dad. Not just today. A lot of days. Mark and I talk about you often. About things you would have loved, places you would have enjoyed, and moments we wish you were still here to share with us. You’re still very much a part of our conversations and our lives.

I love you, Dad. I miss you more than I can put into words. Say hello to all our loved ones in heaven. And while you’re up there, put in a good word with Jesus for the rest of us. 🥰

Rest easy, Dad. All good here. ❤️ by @kim_reding

I don’t even know where to start on this post …… just I’m really grateful to so many people. 30 years …… if you would of told me when I was 19 that on your 30 yr anniversary of @rmajiujitsu you would have @rogergracie come to your school and share I would of laughed. If I can give any advice of what it took to get to this point (and i still don’t feel qualified to give that ) it would be to develop relationships. That’s what is important. I’m blessed to have so many relationships on and off the mat but mainly on the mat. And of course I have to give a huge thank you to my professor @rafaellang !!! The most selfless person I know. Without you none of this is possible. Thank you. And thank you to all my students. I will always do my best to bring you the best. Always. 🙏. Here’s to a wonderful cap on 30 yrs. Let’s see where we go now :) by @kim_reding

Loved spending the evening with these women and being reminded of the importance of staying close to Him.

“Abide in me, and I in you.” — John 15:4

So grateful for ACC and all the people who poured into making this night so special. 🤎✨

30 years. ❤️ Before I ever knew Mark, there was Reding Martial Arts. He started teaching out of his garage at just 18 years old in Denton,TX and 30 years later, I’ve learned so much about the person behind it.

Mark is an artist. He’s incredibly critical of himself, always chasing perfection, and never satisfied with “good enough.” And if you know Mark, you know he holds the people around him to a high standard, too. Not because he expects something from you that he doesn’t expect from himself, but because he sees what you’re capable of and wants you to push yourself to get there. That’s been a mountain to climb for the both of us. 🙃

When he decides he wants something, somehow, it’s going to happen. And if he tells you he’ll be there, he’ll be there, probably 30 minutes early. IYKYK

What I admire most is that he never stops being a student. If he wants to learn something, he’ll humble himself, seek out the best, study under them for years, read everything he can, and then bring that knowledge home to his students.

But I don’t think 30 years of success is measured in belts, awards, or even the number of martial arts he’s mastered. Neither does he.

It’s measured in people.

Students who have been with him for 18, 20, and 25 years. People who started with him in that garage. Families who trusted him with their children and now bring their grandchildren to him. He has been with them through all of life’s changes and they have been with him through his.

That’s a legacy.

I’ve watched you sacrifice, struggle, learn, grow, late late nights, wear and tear on your body and what others seem to only observe, your success. Contrary to what you believe I think, you inspire me to be better at what I do.

Not many people build something at 18 that is still changing lives 30 years later. I know you love your RMA family.

Congratulations, Mark. ❤️ 30 years of Reding Martial Arts, and so many people who are part of your story. Your kids, your pups, and I are so proud of you. We love you so much.

Two daughters, two colleges, and two Family Weekends on the same weekend, so we divided and conquered! Crazy schedules made our time shorter than any of us wanted, but we got to see our babies, hug them tight, and get a little glimpse into their college life. Already wishing we had stayed longer. ❤️ Boomer Sooner and Woo Pig Sooie!

Yesterday marked the end of the 6–12 months the vets told us Maverick might have and today, he’s still here, doing well, and soaking up every bit of Kennedy’s love. 🤎 We don’t take a single extra day with him for granted. He’s a strong little guy, and Kennedy makes sure every day he has is filled with cuddles, comfort, and so much love. Today feels like a little milestone worth celebrating. 🐾

He had fun playing and needed Kennedy to love on him. You’re the best mama for Maverick & Moose.

Hey birthday Mark! I love you and your love for music, books, travel, and pretty much every kind of art. You’re my favorite travel partner and my prayer partner. You definitely keep us moving! You’re a whole experience, and we wouldn’t have you any other way. We love you forever and a day! ❤️🎶🐾 On to our next adventure!! by @kim_reding

This girl is living her best life, and we couldn’t be happier for her! Junior year looks good on you, @rylee.reding . ❤️ We are so proud of the life you’re building, the friendships you’ve made, and the beautiful young woman you continue to become. We love seeing how happy you are at Arkansas and with your Phi Mu sisters. We love you so much and can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Our last to leave the nest. Our baby girl, still learning who she is and who she’s meant to become. Now she’s a Boomer Sooner too!

What a blessing it has been to walk through life with you. It’s been an honor helping you navigate all the excitement, uncertainty, joy, and roller coaster of emotions that come with growing up. I’ll be in tears when I sit quietly in your room praying over your journey. Mark thinks I’m crying because I am now, left alone with him. Lol. 🤔

Baby girl, you are more than ready. You are stunning, inside and out. When you’re doubtful, excited, confused, or insecure of what comes next, remember Jeremiah 29:11. God already knows the plans He has for you.

You are meant to do great things. Believe that!! And always know that we’re here whenever you need us. Your pups, your room, and especially us will miss you more than the moon and stars. We love you forever and a day. ❤️

………….and now off to Arkansas! by @kim_reding
