Pisces season always pulls me into deep reflection, but this year, it feels different. Spending my birthday in one of my favorite places in the world, I realize I’m not just traveling, I’m coming home to myself.

Life has a way of unraveling you, pulling you away from yourself when you least expect it. Last year was one of those times, a season of facing my shadows, healing wounds that ran deeper than just me. It was a time of surrender, of learning where I end and others begin, of understanding that boundaries are an act of self-love.

But beyond the personal, this past year carried the weight of the world. Moving through life with so much sadness, witnessing injustice, and feeling the heaviness of human rights violations has been overwhelming. The socio-political realities we face, both directly and indirectly, have been a mixed bag of emotions, from heartbreak to resilience, grief to hope. In times like these, leading with compassion and empathy feels more important than ever. It’s easy to close ourselves off, to grow numb, but choosing to stay open—to feel, to listen, to care—is an act of courage.

Still, something has shifted. I feel rooted again, within myself, within the people who see me fully, within the quiet knowing that everything is unfolding as it should. Transformation has been a constant theme, and I welcome it. There’s something beautiful about getting older, about stepping into the life I’ve been creating all along. If this past year was about surrender, this one is about trust. And I trust that the best is yet to come.

I’m also deeply grateful to be spending my birthday with such special people, both new friends and old, and most importantly, one of my best friends in the whole world @wesley_francis.

Most of all, I’m excited to see my sisters in just a couple of weeks✨😍🥹♥️♥️♥️♥️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 by @kimberleynahuel
