You do NOT need to wait until you have a huge following or years of speaking experience to start using speaking to grow your business.

And you definitely don’t need to sit around waiting for someone to discover you!

One thing I want more coaches and consultants to understand is that you already have expertise people can benefit from hearing. The work is figuring out how to get that expertise in front of the people who need it.

I’ve seen how powerful speaking can be for building relationships, creating new business opportunities, and getting people familiar with your work before they ever become clients. But you have to be intentional about it.
And that’s exactly why I’m hosting this training!

We’re going to talk about how to approach speaking as an actual part of your business strategy, whether you’ve already been getting booked or you’re trying to figure out where to start.

If you’re a coach or consultant who knows speaking could open more doors for your business, I want you in the room! by @kimberlybonline

The next few months are looking pretty full.

Between August and November, I’ll be in rooms leading keynotes, workshops, trainings, and conversations around career growth, leadership, visibility, and what it really takes to move forward.

Whenever I step into a room, my goal is for people to leave with something they can actually use. A new way to think about where they are, a question they need to sit with, or a next step they can take when they get back to work.

And if you’re planning a Q4 2026 or Q1 2027 conference, company event, or leadership experience, I’m currently booking select dates.

After over 10 years of speaking on stages -- I finally have a speakers reel to share to showcase the tools, mindset shifts, and real-world strategies that turn employees into leaders.

Here's a glimpse into the energy, clarity, and conviction I bring into every room.

→ Authentic, unfiltered experiences from the trenches of leadership (stories that reveal both the messy failures and breakthrough moments) that shaped real change in organizations

→ Practical frameworks and proven strategies that leaders can implement immediately to drive measurable results in their teams and organizations

→ Insights that participants reference months later when making critical decisions and leading through challenges

If you’re looking for a speaker who:

→ Builds genuine rapport by meeting audiences where they are, speaking their language, and addressing the real challenges they face in their day-to-day leadership roles

→ Delivers tangible leadership tools, complete with step-by-step implementation guides they can use to strengthen their teams starting Monday morning

→ Creates powerful 'aha moments' that inspire leaders to examine their current approach while providing clear pathways to elevate their leadership impact and influence.

📩 Let’s talk. I’m booking 2025 and 2026 speaking engagements, keynotes, and corporate trainings. by @kimberlybonline

One thing I tell all my speaking clients is that you have to stop thinking conferences are the only places worth pitching!

There are SO many opportunities to get in front of the right people, and some of the most valuable ones may not look like the big stages you originally imagined.

When I’m helping my clients build their speaking strategy, we’re not just looking at where they can get booked. We’re looking at what that opportunity can actually DO for them.

Who will be in the room? What relationships could come from it? Does this audience align with where they want to go next in their career or business?

Because getting booked is great, but getting booked for opportunities that actually support your goals? That’s what we’re working toward!

If you’ve been trying to figure out how to make speaking a bigger part of your career or business, I have something for you!

On November 11th, I’m hosting a free live webinar where I’ll be breaking down how to turn your expertise into speaking opportunities that help you get seen, make valuable connections, and open new doors.

One thing I’ve had to learn as I’ve grown my speaking business is that creating opportunities for other people and positioning yourself as an authority are NOT mutually exclusive.

And I think this is especially important for those of you who are building your personal brands, hosting events, or trying to become more visible in your industries.

You can be SO good at bringing the right people together, facilitating great conversations, and making sure everyone else has an opportunity to shine that you forget to think about what you want people to walk away knowing about YOU.
And listen, there’s absolutely a time and place to play the supporting role. I do it all the time!

But when you’re the one creating the experience, I want you to be intentional about how you’re showing up in it.
Are people getting to hear your perspective? Are you demonstrating your expertise? Are you giving them a reason to want to hear from you again?

Because the goal isn’t just to host a successful event. It’s also to make sure the opportunities you’re creating are helping you build the reputation and visibility you want for yourself.

You can make room for other people without making yourself smaller in the process.

For my speakers and event hosts, have you ever found yourself doing this? by @kimberlybonline

One thing I want more people to understand about public speaking is that getting on stage is NOT the end goal.

Especially if you’re using speaking to grow your business, build your reputation, or create more opportunities in your career.

I’ve seen people put so much energy into getting booked that they haven’t really thought about what they want that opportunity to lead to.

That’s why I also want you thinking about how that one presentation fits into the bigger picture of what you’re building.
Because being a great speaker and having a great speaking strategy are two different things.

If you’re ready to get more intentional about your speaking opportunities, join me for my upcoming webinar on November 11!

You might be more ready to start pitching yourself as a speaker than you think!

One thing I see ALL the time is people convincing themselves they need one more certification, a better website, more followers, or a fancy speaker reel before they can start pursuing speaking opportunities.

And this goes for my 9-to-5ers who want to build their visibility and become known for their expertise, too! You don’t have to own a business to start getting in front of audiences.

Listen, I understand wanting to put your best foot forward. I’m all for being prepared!

But at some point, all that preparation can become the very thing keeping you from getting booked. You have to give people an opportunity to say YES to you.

And that means getting clear about the value you bring, putting your expertise in front of the right people, and being willing to learn from the pitches you send.

Your first pitch doesn’t have to be perfect. In fact, you’ll probably learn quite a bit from sending it!

So if you’ve been sitting on a speaking topic or tweaking your materials for months, consider this your reminder to get out there and start pitching.

P.S. If you’re ready to learn how to position yourself for more speaking opportunities, I’m hosting an upcoming FREE webinar on November 11th at 12 PM EST to help you do just that!

One thing I’ve learned from years of speaking is that you can have an AMAZING presentation planned and still have to make adjustments once you’re in the room.

Because every audience is different!

Some rooms are full of energy from the moment you grab the mic. Others take a little more work to warm up. And sometimes the activities you thought would be a hit just aren’t landing the way you expected.

That’s why I always encourage speakers to get comfortable thinking on their feet. Because you can rehearse your presentation a hundred times, but you can’t rehearse every audience reaction. And the more experience you get on stage, the better you’ll become at recognizing when you need to switch things up.

It’s one of those skills that really comes with practice, and it’s something I’m still intentional about improving in my own speaking career.

Speakers, what’s your go-to way to get an audience warmed up and engaged? I’m always interested in hearing what works in different rooms! by @kimberlybonline

I want more people to think about what happens AFTER they get booked to speak.

Because listen, getting in front of the right audience is great, but what are you actually hoping that opportunity does for your business or career?

I’ve been on plenty of stages throughout my speaking career, and one thing I know for sure is that every engagement doesn’t need to serve the same purpose.

Sometimes I’m there to generate business. Other times, I’m being paid to deliver a keynote, and my ONLY job is to give that audience an excellent experience.

And that’s the thing! You don’t need to turn every speaking engagement into a sales pitch. But you DO need to be intentional about how you’re using speaking in your business.

This is a big part of what I teach inside The Visibility Shift, and I’m going to be sharing more about it during my upcoming FREE webinar:

How to Book High-Visibility, High-Conversion Speaking Engagements as a Coach or Consultant —Wednesday, November 11 at 12 PM ET.

If you’re ready to be more strategic about the stages you’re pursuing and how you’re turning those opportunities into business growth, I’d love to see you there!

One of my favorite parts of coaching is watching someone start to see themselves and their possibilities differently. And I don’t take it lightly when someone trusts me to be part of that process.

Taryn’s experience is a reminder of why I love this work so much. Because sometimes one conversation, a new perspective, or being in the right environment can change how you approach your next move.

(Also — check out slide 2 — thats one of her GORGEOUS portraits from the TVS Intensive Experience we host for clients twice a year!)

And if speaking is something you’ve been wanting to explore as a way to grow your coaching or consulting business, I want to help you get started!

On November 11, I’m hosting a FREE live webinar on how to book high-visibility, high-conversion speaking engagements that actually support your business goals.

Getting booked to speak is one thing. Getting booked in front of people who can actually HIRE you is another!

And if you’re a coach or consultant using speaking to grow your business, I need you to understand the difference.

I see so many talented people putting all their energy into becoming more visible. More content, more networking, more speaking pitches, more of EVERYTHING.

But at some point, you have to ask yourself whether all that visibility is getting you closer to the business you actually want to build.

Because listen, I’m all for a packed room and a beautiful stage! But I also want you thinking about what happens AFTER you leave that stage.

Are you making connections with potential clients? Are you getting in front of decision-makers? Are you creating opportunities for people to bring you into their organizations?

That’s the kind of visibility I want you focused on.

And we’re going even deeper into this during my FREE live webinar on November 11th! I’ll be teaching coaches and consultants how to use speaking to increase their visibility, attract more leads, and grow their businesses.

One thing I wish more professionals and business owners understood is that you don’t have to start from scratch to build a speaking business.

You’ve spent YEARS developing your expertise, solving problems, leading teams, working with clients, and getting results. There are people and organizations that could benefit from hearing what you’ve learned.

But being good at what you do and knowing how to position that expertise for speaking opportunities are two different skills.

And that’s where I see so many talented people get stuck.

They know they have something valuable to share, but they haven’t figured out how to package it, who to pitch, or how to make speaking a consistent part of their business or career.

That’s exactly why I’m hosting this training. I want you to walk away with a better understanding of how to approach speaking strategically, instead of just hoping an opportunity comes your way. by @kimberlybonline
