Ron you are already dearly missed. I’m so thankful for the time we spent together over the years brainstorming about podcasts, cohosting the annual Christmas radio shows and sharing how we navigate them around the grief of losing our loved ones.

This Thursday at 10AM we will celebrate you at Prestonwood Baptist in Plano and on Friday morning honor your service to our country.

We will love on Deb as we celebrate your life and all of the incredible things you did for Christ, the community and your friends.

You were one of the most supportive friends during the year I lost my Mom. Your prayers lifted me up when I couldn’t stand and your offer to be there just to sit with me as I cried and you prayed was a life vest to me then.

I know heaven is so majestic and you have already seen my Mom and Dad —
We miss you and yet I know once you enter heaven and see Jesus, this fallen world goes away and you would say I will see you when you get here one day.

We always want more time with those we love. We will support Deb and work with her to continue your ministry 🙏🏻❤️ by @kimmiefranchise

Know your voting rights tomorrow in Texas (applies to other states)

Polls throughout Texas will remain open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 3.

As long as you’re in line by 7 p.m., you must legally be allowed to vote, no exceptions.

Stay in line. Do not let anyone tell you to leave.

2. Made a mistake? Ask for a new ballot.
You can change or correct your ballot before it is cast, including with a replacement ballot.

3. Not on the list? Ask for a provisional ballot.

If your name is missing at your polling place, you can still cast a provisional ballot. It is counted once your eligibility is confirmed.

Bring one of the following:

Texas driver license
Texas election identification certificate
Texas personal identification card
Texas handgun license
United States military identification card w/photo
United States citizenship certificate w/photo
United States passport (book or card)

If you don’t have one of those, you can bring one of these and still cast a ballot:

Government document that shows the voter’s name and an address, including the voter’s voter registration certificate;

Current utility bill;
Bank statement;
Government check;
Paycheck; or
(A) a certified domestic (from a U.S. state or territory) birth certificate or (b) a document confirming birth admissible in a court of law which establishes the voter’s identity (which may include a foreign birth document).

You’ll have to sign a reasonable impediment declaration.

Voting Locations - in Tarrant County, as well as Collin and Dallas counties, you can vote at any voting center.

In Denton County, voters must cast their vote at the polling location assigned to their voter precinct. To find your polling location, visit votedenton.gov

If you’ve requested a mail-in ballot:

“Voters who have received a ballot by mail can go to a polling location. If they have that ballot by mail, they have custody of it; they can surrender that ballot by mail to an election judge and vote a regular ballot in that polling place,” said Kaleb Breaux, the Election Administrator with Colin County.

If you don’t have a mail-in ballot, but requested one, you can vote with a provisional ballot. by @kimmiefranchise

Last year’s memory —still applicable one year later. by @kimmiefranchise

This is 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, an immigrant from Ghana, who was fatally shot on Thursday while walking to school near Crotona Park in the Bronx, New York by boys who had been bullying him 😥

His life mattered. Every life matters!

His dad said he just celebrated one year in the US the day before this happened.

He said just three days ago the principal told him that two kids were bullying his son and got suspended for a week.

There is a reason so many of us are mourning this boy…where does this evil come from -tragic and heartbreaking.

I cannot imagine the fear he felt running and damn the monster young men who did this!

Lord cover his parents in the prayers many in America are saying for him, for his mother as she is flying to the US from Ghana, their family and for
justice 🙏🏻

The reason Javits’ death is hitting so hard is because it cuts through so many layers at once.

It’s about school bullying (we all hate bullies), public safety, and youth gun violence.

But it’s also about the raw vulnerability of being a Black or brown immigrant right now when communities feel deeply exposed.

RIP Javits. I’m so sorry this happened—you had your whole life ahead of you. by @kimmiefranchise
