A prayer for those in need of God’s guidance and protection. by @kimmyolodun

Ready, set?

These are troubling times, but don’t crash out. Instead, do this:
- Breathe
- Pray,
- Remember, God is in control

When your nervous system is out of wack, God can realign it and bring you back to equilibrium. Breathe out the dysregulation and invite the Holy Spirt to come help you.

God can do this with you! Choose Him 🙏🏽 by @kimmyolodun

God does not play about His covenant, so I’m definitely not playing about His receipts 👀😮‍💨📖

Another day, another prayer! Today, let’s pray for others protection health and perseverance! ♥️ by @kimmyolodun

Sometimes faith looks like this. ❤️

This month, I’ve found myself using a wheelchair more than expected, which has led to some interesting conversations about chronic illness, how it can present itself, and how my faith in Jesus and His healing plays a part in it all.

While some of these conversations have hurt my feelings, others have been uplifting and even pretty funny. But I also thought I’d share a few helpful tidbits.

Having faith in God’s healing doesn’t mean neglecting the body He’s entrusted to me.

In the midst of having faith and holding on to the assurance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1), I still have a responsibility to be a good steward of the mind and body God has given me, even with my limitations.

That means taking medication, attending doctor’s appointments, going to the ER when necessary, regularly attending therapy, and yes, even using a wheelchair 🦽 when my mobility is limited.

All while continuing to pray, read my Bible, trust Jesus, and believe in God’s perfect will for my life.

These things can coexist. ❤️

The next time you see me or someone else using a wheelchair, please be mindful that they may already be praying, believing, exploring treatment options, and doing everything they can to care for themselves.

And they may not want to discuss all of that on demand, especially in public.

I genuinely appreciate the love, care, concern, and prayers. But I also appreciate my privacy.

Not every wheelchair user wants to, or feels comfortable, divulging their personal medical information simply because someone asks or is surprised by their condition.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is extend compassion without expecting an explanation.

Faith and medical care can coexist. And so can compassion and boundaries. ❤️

We don’t just need a fresh perspective. We need God’s perspective. by @kimmyolodun

A little bit of self-awareness and a LOT of the Holy Spirit goes a long way in helping us combat comparison and discontentment. 🤍

We all have moments when we question our calling. We look at what someone else may have, what they’re doing, or the opportunities they’re being offered and wonder about our own lives.

But when we return to Jesus, remember who He is, and remind ourselves that His plans are BEST for our lives, we can trust Him.

We can trust Him with the discontentment.

We can trust Him with the doubts and the questions AND know that if we continue in the way of Jesus Christ, we’re not only going to live a life of abundance, but one of true fulfillment.

Comparison may make us question the path, but Jesus reminds us Who we’re following. 🤍 by @kimmyolodun
