It’s happening! 🎉
I’m developing my first solo show, Shades of Black. And the deeper I delve into it, the more gratitude keeps surfacing… particularly for the people who have encouraged me, supported me, and helped me nurture my artistry throughout my life and career.

Link in bio! I can’t wait to share this with you all. ♥️

At today’s matinee, Kim Onah absolutely blew the roof off @radiocitymusichall singing Never Enough 🙌🏻💞

Kim, you’re awesome!

The Past Is Another Land/Easy As Life (AIDA)

Finally posting vids from my solo show! Aida was one of the first Broadway musicals I experienced. I was 8 years old, sitting in the Palace Theatre, watching a dark-skinned black QUEEN, Heather Headley, sing about pain, desire, and love. And it’s an experience that has inspired so much of my artistic self.

I performed my first solo show at @joespub and it was a night I will truly never forget. Here are some snapshots and vids taken by dear friends and family that I’ve been watching over and over again just to relive the moment. I’m so grateful to have been able to share my story with a room full of beautiful souls who were oh so open to receiving it. Hopefully more to come…💙

Massive thank you to everyone who shared the stage with me:

In the spirit of last night’s show of athleticism 💪🏾,
BABY’S FIRST HYROX ✅

I’m not one to pat myself on the back, but I’m genuinely so proud of my body for carrying me through my first Hyrox.

As a black woman in an industry where the traditional standard of beauty often excludes black bodies, I have experienced (and still do) my fair share of body dysmorphia. But ever since I started working with @rachelsneeden and incorporating strength training into my routine, I’ve come to discover extraordinary things about my body: her power, her resiliency, her adaptability, etc. I’m so grateful that this body can build muscle, move as consistently as it does, and carry me through an hour+ of high intensity fitness racing.

Shoutout @meghanfitton my doubles partner and the only person who could get me to sign up for this and actually follow through. Also shoutout to @merrtaktas and @alpcingi who pushed us and inspired us to beat their time. 😁😜 by @kimonahnah
