• KINDLEWOOD FARMS • It’s such an honor to have a close relationship with our friends Ashley & Matt from @kindlewoodfarms. They have built their sustainable farm in Walterboro day by day, seed by seed. It’s our biggest joy finding like-minded people who share our ethos and care deeply about what they do. Cultivating these relationships and growing together is the core of what it’s all about. Find their beautiful vegetables on our menu year-round and catch them at the @seaislandfm on John’s Island to load up your home. @kindlewoodfarms @kindlewoodfarms @kindlewoodfarms by @kindlewoodfarms
Super fun rooftop dinner for 9 for my friend Susanna last night! @skopchains It’s been a while since I made lamb chops and man, they came out great. Just a little rosemary and salt and they were singing. I got the craziest Xiye squash from Ashley @kindlewoodfarms and this 16 pound beauty I’ve already incorporated in to two menus and plan to use the rest for Monday’s @afeastforus Skinny’s Lettuces were so delicious I barely dressed them, just a little Olinda @olindaolivescharleston and lemon, and tried to keep the salad simple with a little orange, hazelnuts and parm! @lowlandfarms and some Marigolds from the garden of course! Can’t get enough of @spadeandclover Aji dulce peppers, they are stunning and I’m going to be so sad when they’re gone for the season! May be my new favorite pepper of all time! Shout out to my girl Lauren @wildflourpastry for saving me some time and making the freaking best Key lime pie ever! Private dinners between 8-12 guests really is my sweet spot. Especially with my Bestie Micki serving up the laughs @mickicollett How did I get so lucky that I get to hang with my friends and also help make us a little $$$? Grateful I get to share all this goodness and help friends celebrate love. Can’t wait for the next one! ❤️ by @kindlewoodfarms
Our Sustainability in Agriculture class field tripped it to @kindlewoodfarms today. Good people doing good farming. Beautiful light to boot. @ttchorticulture by @kindlewoodfarms

A few snapshots of our summer session. We were feeling nostalgic so we’re bringing it back 😋 Fall sesh starts Sept 23 through October 28, every Wednesday from 3:30 to 7pm. Bring your friends, bring a big tote bag to fill with veggies and goodies. More deets coming this week. by @kindlewoodfarms

cappelletti with charred eggplant, “lemon boy” tomato, garlic, benne seed, basil cappelletti, meaning “little hats” in Italian, is a pasta shape that dates back to the 16th century. we’re pairing it with @kindlewoodfarms summer produce while tomatoes are at their best. by @kindlewoodfarms
Tomato sandwich season is here & I’m ready! ripe juicy tomato from Ashley @kindlewoodfarms ✔️ homemade sandwich bread ✔️ brand new jar of @dukes_mayonnaise ✔️ sea salt & fresh ground pepper ✔️ #tomatosandwichseason #seaislandfarmersmarket by @kindlewoodfarms
When synchronicities happen like last week, my work deepens effortlessly. Let me explain. I’m currently in process writing about @kindlewoodfarms, and as I was organizing to visit Ashley and Matt’s place out in Walterboro, out of the blue, I got an invite to a farm dinner at @basic_kitchen featuring who else? These two, along with @wishboneheritagefarms (peep 👀 that beautiful roasted chicken). Chef @charlie_laytonuk has a ❤️ for local farms and producers and has made that a priority for years, and so I tasted all come full circle in a communal meal together. #farmfresh #letsdigin by @kindlewoodfarms
local tomato with burrata, red onion, arugula, sherry, balsamic, crispy bread • @kindlewoodfarms by @kindlewoodfarms
Tomatoes in two scenes. If you plan on enjoying tomatoes this summer at @verns_chs @eattheordinary @canepazzochs or @basic_kitchen , there is going to be a good chance that Ashley at @kindlewoodfarms had something to do with it. I put my eyes on some TOP TIER varieties this morning out on the Walterboro SC farm: Sungold, Mountain Magic, Black Krim, and Lemon Boy (a farm favorite). Good restaurant dishes start at the farm, and great chefs aren’t just wonderful at technique; they are also masters at sourcing. 🙌 #eatlocal #letsdigin by @kindlewoodfarms
