Diving deep into wrestling history, legendary rivalries, character studies and the stories that made us fall in love with professional wrestling.

POSTS STORIES REELS

A wonderful little road trip to Blackpool for Viva Las Rascal @rascals_prowrestling_blackpool and the opportunity to be ringside to watch, in my opinion, the best match of @zacharyswiftpro career today.

He and @chemonetuk clattered the piss out of each other, in pursuit of the Limitless Championship.

Channelling the spirit of Blackpools favourite villain @thewilliamregal Zachary took every opportunity he could to try and sneak a win

What else is there to say?

A beautiful love letter to professional wrestling

Right, part two. Collision.

But first, an anecdote. As someone who always felt like an outcast, @realmickfoley was my guy growing up. I gave up ever seeing him in person years ago, so you can only imagine the noise I made when he came out to close last night’s show.

With tears in my eyes, Mrs Foley’s Baby Boy said the thing that we were all thinking. AEW made us all fall back in love with professional wrestling. Long may they rule.

Happy All In weekend everyone ♥️

I was lucky enough to have some good friends hook me up with barricade tickets for the Glasgow Dynamite and Collision double taping. Accompanied by the main man himself, @mattsaadi

I don’t think I could ever become a bigger fan of AEW, but they keep raising the bar. Here’s a little highlight reel of Dynamite. Collision will be tonight if you want to avoid spoilers 👀

I know My Way is the fan favourite, but I love Mania 19’s promo package so much…

He’s advanced in the Continental tournament so I thought this was the perfect time for a repost! New to Nigel McGuinness or just looking to learn more!? MCGUINNESS VS MORISHIMA. LET’S GO

Is this in the list of greatest matches in ROH history? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

This PLE feels like it could have been an excellent one-night show… why are you so greedy TKO.

Trying something new here! A little chat, some predictions and a few musings on the future.

What night of Summerslam are you most looking forward to!?

I’ve got a wrestling theory...

The greatest thing that can happen to a wrestler is failure.

Hangman Page doesn’t become AEW’s greatest character without losing to Chris Jericho.

Naito doesn’t become *El Ingobernable* without the fans rejecting him.

Okada doesn’t become “The Rainmaker” without years of falling short against Tanahashi.

The best wrestling stories aren’t about unstoppable champions.

They’re about the people who get knocked down, question themselves, and choose to stand back up.

That’s what makes wrestling feel real.

So let me ask you...

Which wrestler was made by failure?

Toni Storm will forever be ✨ TIMELESS ✨

She didn’t just reinvent herself.

She reinvented what a wrestling character could be.

What started as a championship loss became one of the most memorable transformations in modern wrestling. Black and white cinema, old Hollywood glamour, flying shoes, Luther the butler, and enough commitment to make you forget there was ever a “normal” Toni Storm.

Timeless Toni Storm is proof that the best wrestling characters don’t just win matches, they make you believe they’re real.

This is the latest chapter in my series exploring the stories, rivalries and history that make professional wrestling so special.

If you’re as obsessed with wrestling history as I am, give @king.of.kayfabe a follow. New reels every day.

Who’s your favourite wrestling character of the last decade?

#AEW #ToniStorm #TimelessToniStorm #AllEliteWrestling #WrestlingHistory by @king.of.kayfabe

American Venom.

Hangman Page isn’t the perfect cowboy.

He’s the man who keeps getting back on the horse, no matter how many times life throws him off.

From the heartbreak of losing to Chris Jericho, to finding a family in The Dark Order, to finally defeating Kenny Omega, and then losing himself completely in his war with Swerve Strickland...

No character in AEW has evolved more.

That’s why I think Hangman Page is the greatest character the company has ever created.

Do you agree, or is there someone else who deserves that title?

👇 Let me know.

One of the things I love most about professional wrestling is that the best stories aren’t about heroes and villains.

They’re about perspective.

Jon Moxley didn’t think he was destroying AE, he thought he was saving it. Bret Hart believed the fans had changed, not him. Hangman Page’s descent into darkness made perfect sense once you understood everything he’d been through.

That’s the magic of great wrestling storytelling.

I’d love to know who you think is the greatest villain who never believed they were the villain.

If you’ve enjoyed my recent wrestling reels, I’ve got some exciting news.

I’m launching a dedicated wrestling page, @king.of.kayfabe where I’ll be diving even deeper into wrestling history, legendary rivalries, character studies and the stories that made us fall in love with professional wrestling.

This reel has been shared as a collaboration with the new page, so if this is your kind of content, I’d really appreciate you giving @king.of.kayfabe a follow. I’ve got a lot of ideas planned, and I can’t wait to build a community of wrestling fans who love talking about the stories behind the matches.
