I remember being at a weekend retreat for a high school I didn’t want to be at, and seeing this little chubby kid doing the Harlem Shake. I immediately thought to myself I gotta be friends with this guy. Little did I know the brotherhood we would forge that would span nearly 20 years. Your energy, your spirit, your laugh, all made life seem great. No matter what was going on in life, you always approached life’s challenges with your head high and a smile, and that’s what I admired the most about you. Subsequently, that’s what I’ll miss the most about you. You brought people together, you took care of those you cared for. You were so supportive of me whether it was with my 9-5s or my creative endeavors. You always knew what to say when I was down on myself about something. You never told me what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear. Our talks saved my life, more than you know. I remember the morning I got the phone call, it seemed like time just stopped. Since then, these past couple of weeks just been a blur. So many questions, not enough answers. Could I have done more? Said more? Idk. I just know one of my best friends isn’t here anymore and I can’t do anything about it. I’ll never understand because you had such a love for living life. Your the only person i know who turned their morning commute to work into a dance party lol. It was truly inspiring seeing you be a husband and a father. I never met a more perfect couple. I’ve never seen a young father and child who visibly had so much love for one another. He’s always smiling every time I’ve seen him, and I know he gets that from you. I’m gonna do my best to make sure he always remembers how much you loved being his dad.
I just wanted to say thank you Fab. Thank you for being everything a friend is supposed to be: Brutally honest, loyal, hilariously funny. Thank you for putting others first before your self, and asking nothing in return. Thank you for your positive outlook on life. Thank you for the friends and family I met through you that are now my friends and family. Thank you brother. Until next time… #LongLiveLoso #trifelife2thenextlife by @king_keflo
