POSTS STORIES REELS
We’re Ariel and Flor, documentary wedding filmmakers based in Minneapolis. This started with Ariel’s story. When my mom passed, I learned something I now build every film around: photos preserved how she looked, but video preserved how she sounded. Her voice. Her laugh. The way she felt in a room. In 2022 Flor and I got married, and she joined Kings Films to carry that same philosophy with me. So now it’s we. Two of us, building interview-led films from your vows as you said them, your dad’s toast, your grandmother’s words, the people who shaped your story. Preserved, not performed. One day, hearing those voices again will mean everything.Every wedding film looks good on the first watch. That’s the easy part. The harder question is whether it still means something in ten years, when the day itself has gone soft in your memory and you’re trying to remember exactly how your dad sounded when he spoke. Beautiful footage is the baseline. What you’ll come back for is the sound of the people who were there. That’s what an interview-led legacy film is built to preserve. If that’s the kind of film you want, DM the word WEDDING and I’ll send pricing and dates #MNWedding #MNWeddingVideographer #MNWeddingVideography #kingsfilms #minneapolisweddingfilms by @kings_films.ar
Every wedding film looks good on the first watch. That’s the easy part. The harder question is what you’ll still feel in ten years, once the day has gone soft in your memory. What you’ll come back for is what it sounds like: your dad’s toast, your vows, a laugh you’d forgotten. So every film starts before the camera, with a conversation about your story. On the day we work quietly and document what’s real, nothing staged. Friends and family share their perspective in relaxed interviews. All of it becomes a record of voices, not just a highlight reel. No edits to explain these. Just listen. Real moments from real weddings, preserved exactly as they happened. The footage is beautiful, but it’s the voices that stay with you. That’s the part most films lose and the part I build everything around. That’s the kind of legacy worth preserving. This is why I care so deeply about real voices and real perspective. Years from now, these stories become more than wedding memories… they become part of a family’s history Follow @king_films.ar for more documentary wedding moments Still looking for a wedding videographer? Photos preserve how things looked. Film preserves how things felt. The way your voice changed when you saw each other. Your dad’s laugh during the toasts. The words your best friend said that no one expected. Those details disappear without film, not because they weren’t real, but because memory fades. You will miss most of your own wedding. While you’re getting ready, guests are arriving. While you’re taking portraits, cocktail hour is happening. Film lets you experience what you weren’t there for. And someday, the people in your film won’t be here anymore. Film is the only way to hear their voices again.
