Kamakura + Yokohama, Japan Feb 2026 A day trip from Tokyo to hike the pilgrimage to the Great Buddha and visit a coastal beach in Kamakura on a beautiful day. We stopped on the way back to enjoy street food for dinner in the Yokohama Chinatown. by @kiri_stephenson
9 years together, a ring on my finger, so many big exciting plans for the upcoming months, and a date to be married next year for our 10th anniversary; what joy I have! Sneak peek from our engagement photoshoot with @trishericksonphotography - what a gem of a person and an incredible photographer she is! by @kiri_stephenson
A brief interruption to your regularly scheduled content: we got engaged! Kananaskis with close friends for a weekend was such a joy. Finally getting to wear my grandmother’s heirloom diamond ring made it even better! by @kiri_stephenson
Tokyo, Japan Feb 2026 Could have done it in 3 days, but we spend almost a whole week in this busy city (I have a similar feeling about New York City). Shibuya was a favourite neighbourhood for me. Walks through various national gardens kept me sane. by @kiri_stephenson
Kinosaki (+ stop off in Shin-Fuji), Japan Feb 2026 A fully immersive (pun-intended) 24 hours in the tattoo-friendly onsen (hotspring) town frequented mainly by Japanese nationals for a spa holiday. Amazing ryokan (traditional inn) with 10-course seafood and locally-sourced dinner, matcha tea ceremony, and costume changes. The best sleep I’ve even had, and skin like a newborn baby - which everyone, and their mother, saw in the nude. On the way out by train, we stopped off to see the famous Mount Fuji from the seawall at sunset. by @kiri_stephenson
Osaka, Japan Feb 2026 Change of scenery for a day in this ocean-side city, found a Toronto-inspired coffee shop, was awestruck by the aquarium, and enjoyed the food along Dotonburi. by @kiri_stephenson
Nara, Fushimi Inari, & Uji, Japan Feb 2026 Day trips following the Nara Line, so lovely and peaceful. Highlights include friendly deer, wooded orange pilgrimages, and the matcha capital of the world with a beautiful river too! by @kiri_stephenson
Kyoto, Japan Feb 2026 A city of culture, good food, and calm places - loved, loved, loved! The ecstasy of starting off on a new trip with old friends - absolute joy and sore feet. by @kiri_stephenson
Just a slice of life from winter 2025-2026… just you wait, Japan Feb 2026 trip is next πŸ‘ by @kiri_stephenson
We’re the β€˜tendies for each other’s hearts πŸ’žπŸ₯… and it’s truly such a cherished moment to tie a scrimmage game against each other in my newfound sport of ringette (if it was hockey, Ben would have won) πŸ˜… by @kiri_stephenson
This one’s from a tournament last year, but might as well post it during tournament weekend this year: I play ringette (sometimes slightly begrudgingly) now! I got talked into trying it out, and ended up finding one of a few awesome athletics communities in the Chilliwack area that I am a part of! Go join a sport, any sport! It’s good for you, and it keeps you humble. by @kiri_stephenson
