hi there again ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿงก by @kissaliss
I miss you I donโ€™t know you ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ“Œ 2022 by @kissaliss
POETRY IS PATHETIC, a trilingual self-published book, a collection of poems written over several years in English, Russian and French for me a language is a space, a room we can enter, a field we can cross there is something magical in the way each language creates its own culture, its own mythology, its own world so i decided to keep all the languages i can write in (hoping to learn more soon ๐Ÿค“) a few of the texts are translated, and translation is actually another big part of my work knitting with words, i feel like iโ€™m creating a common space for them translation is pure friendship to me the book itself is neither chronological nor linear you can read it like hopscotch / la marelle you can read it in whichever language you want also, if you know any publisher whoโ€™d be interested in bringing this gem to more readers, please get in touch French proofreading: @roselmappleby English proofreading: @2amy7 Russian proofreading: @doradoomeddetective Design review: @1_cavalla Translations by @ilyastasevich.info , @iris_ell_ , @doradoomeddetective , @dundundunj and me :) special thanks to @leahussenot , Pierre Speich and @lincroyable__ ๐Ÿค by @kissaliss
two years ago I graduated from Haute รฉcole des arts du Rhin in visual arts, and now feels like the moment to share it here let me show you some snippets of pieces I made I think my diploma was a way of not staying silent in three languages at once themes: presence, humour, grief, friendship, love, immigration, memory, semiotics, translation, absence, disappearance, water, cemeteries ๐˜—๐˜ฐ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜บ ๐˜ช๐˜ด ๐˜—๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ค, a trilingual book, tongues spilling one into the other ๐˜—๐˜ฐ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ด, silkscreened on sheets, hanging like a skin someone had let fall apart ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฌ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ฎ๐˜บ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ, ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฌ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ง๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ต ๐˜ชโ€™๐˜ฎ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฌ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ง๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ด a wooden heart engraved with all the days I wrote down what I was thinking about and there were polaroids, hundreds of polaroids a long horizon line, small warm windows I keep feeding to this day as if I were collecting proof of having been there all of it is language that refuses to stay on the page language that wants to touch fabric, wood, skin and light language is alive, tangible, figรฉ, piercing, taking apart jโ€™y suis encore voilร  mes photos by @kissaliss
