Today, we wear orange to remember, honour, and listen. Orange Shirt Day is a reminder that every child matters, and that we all have a responsibility to learn from the past and help create a future where every child feels safe, valued, and heard. Through our work with community organizations and agencies, we’re fortunate to work closely with people who support children, families, and communities every day. Their work is an important reminder that meaningful change happens through continued care, connection, and action. 🧡 by @kitsforacause
🎉 Haven Toronto Leadership in Giving Award 🎉 @kitsforacause — Jody Steinhauer The Haven Toronto Leadership in Giving Award recognizes someone who demonstrates that philanthropy is not only about what we give—it is also about how we inspire others to give. For Jody Steinhauer, that philosophy has shaped a relationship with Haven spanning more than 30 years. Through @bargainsgroup , Project Winter Survival and, today, Kits for a Cause, Jody has built a remarkable model of what she calls “active philanthropy”—bringing businesses and their employees together, educating them about community needs, and then giving them a meaningful way to respond. Thank you for your continued service to our communities, we truly couldn't do it without you. Please consider getting involved today. Today’s champion is a partner who has made it even more seamless for groups — from small to very large — to do volunteer work for our shelter! 🚚 Last fall, @marriottintl dedicated a team-building evening to assembling hundreds of winter care kits for survivors we support. It was all possible because of our partnership with @kitsforacause. Thank you Jody and team! 💜🛍️ For our shelter’s 50th anniversary, we asked 50 members of the community to share one concrete action they are taking to: 💜 Help support survivors 🤝 Promote healthy relationships ⛔ Challenge violence 🏠 Or contribute to safer communities. More about today’s champion: As the founder and Chief Bargains Officer of @bargainsgroup, Jody Steinhauer has revolutionized the social impact landscape by leveraging her wholesale company’s buying power to help non-profits maximize their budgets. Driven by her belief that “giving back makes GREAT business sense,” Jody is a tireless non-profit advocate, and her latest initiative, @kitsforacause (KFAC), is a social enterprise dedicated to providing a purposeful engagement program to groups/teams locally and globally, by matching them to charities in need. #IntervalHouseofOttawa #50Champions by @kitsforacause
A huge thank you to @kitsforacause for donating hundreds of additional backpacks for our families as part of last week’s Back to School backpack giveaway! 🎒❤️ Kits for a Cause connects corporate volunteers with community organizations like ours, bringing teams together to assemble care kits that go directly to people who need them. It’s an incredibly impactful way for organizations to give back and we’re so grateful they thought of West Scarborough. Thank you for showing up for our community. 🙏 #BGCWestScarborough #WestScarborough #KitsForACause #BackToSchool #CommunityFirst by @kitsforacause
