Birthday appreciation post! 💗
(This one is a bit long… but it comes from the heart)

Today I turn 34, and I find myself tearing up as I look back on all the incredible moments I’ve experienced through DJing. If someone had told me a few years ago that this would be my life, I wouldn’t have believed them.
I don’t know where this journey will take me, but one thing I know for sure is how incredibly grateful I am that I took that first step.
DJing has brought me so much joy, especially during some of my most difficult moments. It has given me something to pour my heart into, something to look forward to, and it has brought some truly incredible people into my life. From playing at house parties to finding myself on festival stages this year, I still sometimes have to pinch myself. I’m endlessly grateful for the people who have seen something in me, believed in my potential, trusted me with opportunities and shown up for me along the way. This year has also taught me that DJing isn’t always as glamorous or rewarding as it might look from the outside. Behind every performance are countless hours of digging for tracks, obsessing over the perfect flow, practising new skills, questioning yourself, losing sleep, travelling, putting yourself out there and opening yourself up to criticism.
It’s getting ridiculously excited about a gig, only to sometimes wake up on the day feeling exhausted, sick or completely overwhelmed, and still having to show up, put a smile on your face and give your best. And the reality is, for many of us, it doesn’t even pay the bills. Sometimes it barely covers the music we buy!
But then you step behind the decks, you look up and see people dancing, smiling, letting go, connecting with each other. You get to share something you love so deeply and watch it bring joy to other people.
And suddenly every single hour, every doubt, every sacrifice is worth it. (Text continues through the next slides) ➡️

There is something so incredibly special about connecting with people through music. It’s a feeling I still struggle to put into words, and one I hope I never take for granted.
I’m still learning. Every single day, every single gig teaches me something by @kittyjuice.dj

My Blossom festival set is now up on Soundcloud (Link in my bio) 🌸

It was so incredibly special to play on the Garden stage for the first time!
Thank you to everyone who came down early and stayed to support me!

I hope you enjoy reliving the magic xx

Well, for someone who was sick and was supposed to drive home after my set… I somehow made it back home on Tuesday morning with a very full heart 💖

Blossom, you did it again!

This is pretty much the entire contents of my camera roll, so a big thank you to everyone who actually remembered to take photos and captured the weekend for me! by @kittyjuice.dj

👽 THE VISITORS 👽
An idea that started in my head, and somehow Caspacadabra & Suzi La Q trusted me enough to go along with it 😂

From creating our characters and painting our masks to finally stepping on stage, The Visitors properly came to life at Blossom Festival.

Performing to Kitty Juice with these two was so much fun. I absolutely love having a creative outlet where the weird ideas in my head can actually become real. 💚

Absolutely over the moon to announce that I’ll be making my Queensland debut at @earth_frequency this year, joining the @thewonkyqueenslander crew takeover at the Boombox stage!

I have no words to express how grateful I am to have been invited to play alongside these absolute legends! by @kittyjuice.dj

It’s TIME! 🪭 Catch me at @blossom_festival this weekend!
This year I will be making my debut on the Garden Stage, Saturday 8pm-9.30pm ❤️‍🔥
Taking over from @okto_music_official
And handing over to @sotireddj
Both inspired me to start this journey a couple years ago, so this one feels speshh!
I’ve been collecting some seriously filthy tunes to throw around in the forest…
Stretch accordingly 😜❤️‍🔥 xx by @kittyjuice.dj

The Wonky Queenslander celebrate 10 years at Earth Frequency with a full takeover of the Boombox on Saturday 🍍

The Wonky Queenslanders are a Brisbane based not-for-profit community group containing a collective of creatives wholeheartedly dedicated to bangers without borders, and cooking up quirky moments in time purposely designed to make you smile for a little while and then take that feeling back out into the world!

This bunch of good eggs live, laugh and love nothing more than to facilitate safe, welcoming and playbased spaces for all to enjoy, no matter their age, with the philosophy that “growing old is inevitable, but growing up is optional”.

Their cast and crew will be returning once again to take over the Boombox Stage for their 10th Official Earth Frequency Rodeo with plenty of their signature wubbs, funk and soul in the front and interactive nonsense in the back, which shouldn’t be that surprising given they’ve shenaned before so will no doubt shenanagain!

Alongside the tunes, expect a wide range of coordinated silliness, including:

🙏 Sacred Milo Cerro
🎩 Mad Hatters Morning Tea
🧘‍♀️ VOGA
👗 Stop, Drop & Frock Clothes Swap Jamboree
🙋‍♀️ Side Quest Allocation Station
🎶 Latin Quarter Takeover
✅ Dance Floor Census
👵 Grans Gone Wild
🎭 Cooked Cabaret
🎪 Buff Parlour
🍹 Mini Bar
🧳 Emotional Baggage Check In Counter

Expect to boogie like it’s tax deductible, have your cares buffed away at the parlour, check your emotional baggage at the departure lounge, stop, drop and frock at the clothes swap jamboree, join them for a spot of morning tea, aaaaand if ever you find yourself undecided on your next move, be sure to visit their Side Quest Allocation station and demand to speak to the manager!

Happy EFF Anniversary to our Wonky Community 🎉🥳 by @kittyjuice.dj

Two weeks until I get to let loose with the fam in the paddock! Super excited to play one of my favourite stages at @blossom_festival for the first time this year 🥳

This will be my 4th Blossom, and after seeing some of the DJs who inspired me to start this journey up there over the years, it feels pretty damn special to finally jump behind the decks myself 💜 Who’s excited for the Juice?🤭 xx by @kittyjuice.dj
