Studying old master’s works has really helped my practice a lot and I don’t intend to stop any time soon.

This week I’m studying drawings of Auguste Rodin

These mentors have greatly influenced my practice and continues to influence it.

I’m grateful for them and will like to take a moment to honour them.

Tracey Emin @traceyeminstudio

She’s bold, confident and inspires a lot of confidence into younger generation artist like myself.

I used to be ashamed to post my nude study that I had to create a new page separate from my old page, so I could avoid criticism, she inspired confidence in me to post and I’m grateful that I took up the courage.

Egon Schiele

Schiele made me love expressionism and since I first saw his works, I’ve made a promise to explore my works and stay true to them.
I love his works and I wish to someday own one.

Antony Gormley

A lot of people don’t know that I have a sculpture background, and as a matter of fact, I majored sculpture back in school.
Gormley was one of the artists who inspired me to pursue sculpting and I dare to say that my final year project in school was inspired by his works..

Gustav Klimt

Just like Schiele, Klimt made me explore background on my nude drawings and thats one thing I’m exploring more of in this season.

I can’t wait to show you all the new series of works I’ll be working on in months to come..

Thank you for reading this far 🤍
