Rasaq Okoya's story began with £70 borrowed from his mother and a stall full of ribbons and buttons on Lagos Island. 🧵

He had no formal education, but he had something far more valuable — discipline to save, patience to reinvest, and the courage to bet on local manufacturing when everyone else was importing.

Today, Eleganza Group employs over 5,000 Nigerians directly and supports 25,000 more livelihoods across the region.

Rasaq Okoya is proof that opportunity in Nigeria doesn’t wait for a degree. It waits for someone willing to start small and build big.

Who should we spotlight next? 👇

BECOMING HIM.

Another year.

And somehow, I’m still asking myself the same question:

Who am I becoming?

I used to think growing up meant having everything figured out.
The career.
The money.
The confidence.
The direction.

I thought growth would feel like arriving.

It didn’t.

It looked more like uncertainty.
Failure.
Starting over.
Being overlooked.
Watching people get opportunities I prayed for.

It looked like creating when nobody cared.
Showing up when I didn’t feel ready.
Believing in something I couldn’t always see.

But somehow, I kept going.

I kept picking up the camera.
Kept telling stories.
Kept chasing the frame.
Kept turning the things in my head into something I could create.

And somewhere along the way, I realized:

I wasn’t just building a career.
I was building myself.

Every rejection taught me something.
Every mistake humbled me.
Every opportunity reminded me that I belong in the room.

And every difficult season left something behind.

A lesson.
A scar.
A little more courage.

A little more of him.

So no, I don’t have everything figured out.

I’m not where I want to be.

And maybe I don’t need to be.

Because I’m finally beginning to understand…

The goal was never to arrive.

The goal was to become.

So here’s to another year of building.
Another year of creating.
Another year of taking risks.
Another year of becoming.

I don’t know exactly who I’ll be at the end of this chapter.

But I know I’m getting closer.

I used to dream about becoming someone.

Now, I’m busy becoming him.

Before the video comes to life, there's always a mix of chaos, fun, flow of idea and energy.

We did five different commercials in a day; wonder how?—The "big performer" team is active! ✊

This BTS is long overdue.

Stepped out of my comfort zone to produce contents for some brands with my team.

I use this moment to pray that your wings shall not be clipped when it’s your time to take flight 🚀

All the opportunities you’ve been praying for may you not miss them when they finally come 🙏🏽

Your time shall not pass you by no matter what happens
