I never quite understood the phrase “we are not angry enough” when people would say it.

Now I do. Now I feel it.

Instead of going out to celebrate Halloween last night, I took the time to look deeper into the conflicts happening around the world, and really sit with the sadness and rage they bring up. Especially when it comes to crimes against women.

I hear about these situations mostly through friends, but not every crisis receives the same media coverage.

We know about the genocide in Gaza and the ongoing destruction of Palestine.

But how often do we hear about Congo, Haiti, Sudan, the atrocities continuing in Ukraine, and countless other places? These crises don’t all receive the same attention. And it’s easy to let our lives become so consumed by distractions that we stop talking about the wars that are still happening.

It’s not just war.

The whole system is corrupt.

And you know it.

But what are you doing to challenge it?

Have you thought about which companies to boycott? Have you limited your consumption of capitalist products? Do you move intentionally through life?

What has changed since 2020? And how do we keep that momentum going?

We need to put our rage to good use. We need to make our voices heard.

On November 20th, there’s an international youth strike against war happening in London. I will be there.

If you’d like to join me, leave a 🤝 in the comments and I’ll send you more information

Stay well.

& Happy Belated 🎃

Whoever told you that your mind needs to be clear of thoughts to meditate, couldn’t be further from the truth - especially when you first start out.

There are so many background thoughts running in your subconscious, waiting to be heard and realised, that once you purposefully sit down in silence with yourself, they finally have the chance to come to the surface.

My first few years of meditating actually sent me into a depression/dark night of the soul. I was avoiding a lot of uncomfortable truths about myself and my sexuality - things I had never really addressed. Meditation became my tool to really dive deep into these aspects of myself, to see where I could embrace every part of my personality and turn my pain into power.

Try it.

Sit with yourself - keeping your spine long and seat bones grounded. And for 5 minutes, focus on keeping your breath consistent and steady.

The only way out is through 🌀🪽

In-between reading up on the legalities of tax (and tanning), I snuck in some handstand practice 🧞‍♀️

Some super interesting pages to read on ‘notaperson.org’.
It goes into the wording used that binds us -or so, actually doesn’t bind us- to the system.

The lawful talk was frying my brain, but we’ve got to start learning the systems and their language, if we want to defy it and become sovereign 🙂‍↕️

I came away from Creator Live feeling invigorated and energised ❤️‍🔥
What a beautiful room full of people with a passion to learn and share their voice with the world!

To see how present @jun_yuh was with every single person he spoke with, was truly impressive 💚
It takes real skill to be able to hold a room like that, whilst simultaneously making each person feel seen, heard and appreciated.

My first of many conferences 🙏🏼🙏🏼🫶🏼
Thankful.

After spending all day cosplaying as someone who wants to work in corporate, there’s nothing like a hit of a fresh coconut to bring me back to where I’m truly supposed to be - the tropics. 🌴 🥥 ✨
