Dear Brno and the rest of the world, let me introduce to You the prototype of the "Brno Coat" (Kabát Brno) which You can order to be made directly for You in various sizes and colours, both in women's and men's fits. The "Brno Coat" was created on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the birth of functionalist architect Bohuslav Fuchs, whose work shaped the face of modern Brno. Its design is visually inspired by Fuch's Pavilion of the City of Brno. This coat is more than a garment — it is a reflection on the famous functionalist maxim “form follows function”. In today’s world of fashion, dominated by overproduction, fleeting trends, and the exploitation of natural and human resources, the "Brno Coat" seeks to follow new functions: respect for the origin of materials, the conditions of their production, and consideration of their afterlife once the garment has served its wearer. The coat is made of 99% biodegradable materials. Its essential fabric is 100% sheep wool from the Portuguese Burel Factory, a company that continues the centuries-old wool tradition of the Serra da Estrela mountains using 19th-century machinery. The shepherds they work with graze their sheep freely on high mountain plateaus, where the delicate vegetation makes the wool softer and finer in quality. The lining is crafted from certified ENKA® Viscose or Bemberg™ fibres by Gianni Crespi Foderami in Italy, while certified biodegradable cotton interlinings, cotton threads and small components complete the piece. The only non-biodegradable elements are the sustainably produced buttons from the Lithuanian brand FM Buttons. Every coat is tailored to order in the Brno atelier of Klára Židková. The development of the "Brno Coat" prototype was supported by the Statutory City of Brno (@brnomycity , @kreativnibrno ) through the FUCHS 130 grant programme. 🔥Stunning photography team: photography: @karolinakadlcakova modeling: @la__adel (@impactmodelsmgmt ) MUAH: @veronikamykolenko Earings: LOOP by Corali, available at @objectconceptstore Location: Pavilon města Brna, huge thanks go to the "Český filharmonický sbor Brno" and @bvvbrno #fuchs130 #kabatbrno #brnocoat #klarazidkova by @klarazidkovaa

Hii! This June and July, I had such a great opportunity to be chosen as one of 100 participants in the Design Academy SIZE, co-hosted by Zalando @insidezalando and VORN – The Berlin Fashion Hub @vornfashionhub The eight-week online course was devoted to inclusive thinking about sizing and grading systems in fashion design, supported by digital 3D simulation in @itsclo3d Let me share the concept I developed and prepared for production. „Jeder einmal in Berlin“ is a dress inspired by the social and cultural transformations of 1920s Berlin. The project explores how pattern construction can support freedom, adaptability and diverse contemporary bodies. Rather than recreating historical fashion and the glitter of the twenties, it translates the ideas of the period into a contemporary shirt dress designed for movement, versatility and everyday wear across many different social roles. It draws inspiration from concepts such as New Objectivity, the New Woman and „Jeder einmal in Berlin“ – a tourist campaign from that period – which here serves as a metaphor for the idea that everyone should feel free in their clothes. The dress is designed for those who prefer adaptability to multiple daily roles and garments that accommodate multiple body changes. The dress will be available through 3 scale on-demand production: * the dress is sewn from prepared pattern in standard European sizes 34–44 or tall European sizes 84–100 based on customers measures. From the fabric chodeb from @mileta_czech. * Digital bespoke: if further size alterations are required, they are developed and simulated in CLO 3D. Selected fabric can be also simulated before production. * Artistic bespoke: combines digital size customization with experimental approach to materiál, including off-cuts, fabric remnants oř deadstock. So, let’s do it together! And huge thanks again for @insidezalando and @vornfashionhub for so intesive course full of new skills and experience for me. It was such a great luck and honour to attend. ❤️ P.S. the colourful versions of the dress are only brainstorming ilustrations not the final designs🌼 #inclusivethinkingaboutsizing #jedereinmalinberlindress #klarazidkova by @klarazidkovaa

Actually, I do not use any AI for concept settings, designing, pattern making and fabric reserches, because these are the spaces why I love to create clothes. And I also still prefer to take pictures with real people. However, it's quite mad how AI can solve some really mechanical parts of the proccess like organising the size charts, create apropriate technical drawings, tech packs or create some first visualisation. Huge thanks again for @insidezalando and @vornfashionhub for so intesive course full of new skills and experience for me. The waist can be adjusted using integrated belt ties. The dress will be available through on-demand production. I definitely plan to sew some physical prototypes. However, if you don’t want to wait, I have prepared the pattern in standard European sizes 34–44 and tall European sizes 84–100. So, let’s do it together!
