We asked Burak what actually slows AI teams down. GPUs get all the attention, so you’d expect the answer to be GPUs. It isn’t, and the answer is less exciting than that.

He also talks about the most expensive mistake he sees teams make when building AI infrastructure, a customer moment that stayed with him, and what he thinks will surprise us about all this in five years.

One Kloian, five questions, no one allowed to say “game-changer.”

Somewhere in your company, an engineer is pasting the same architecture notes into an AI prompt, again, and nobody is surprised anymore.

The tools are smart, but they don’t know your ADRs, your deprecation list, or why nobody touches that one service, so the context gets retyped daily, the output goes unchecked, and the pilot quietly stalls.

AI-DLC is our fix: Agents that work from your own context and get checked against your own rules, while a named human keeps the big decisions. On a .NET modernization it took discovery from 3-6 months down to 4 weeks, and AWS wrote about it, so we’re allowed to mention it.

Your AI prototype works, in the demo, on a laptop, with data someone cleaned by hand, but then production shows up with evals, guardrails, integrations and a compliance team that has questions.

That’s usually where projects go quiet, and it’s the gap our Forward Deployed Engineers close: senior engineers who sit inside your team and keep building until it ships.

On one recent project that meant a multi-agent AI compliance system, with seven agents, 330 regulatory clauses and a citation on every verdict. The goal is to cut a 5-day review to under 1 day, though that’s a target, not a result yet.

Your dashboard says there were 0.4 clicks per second. Your product team wants to know whether anyone can log in.

Part 2 of our Real User Monitoring series is about that second question. Same OpenTelemetry data, new questions: login success, one Apdex number for how fast the app felt, what people search for versus what they actually add to the basket, and breakdowns by device and country.

One thing we saw in our lab: the countries with the lowest scores were the ones whose shoppers were on slow phones. A country breakdown often shows a device or network problem first.

We also list what to check before real users are involved: privacy, sampling, and a Collector that anyone can send data to.

That’s a wrap on DevOps Days Istanbul 2026. 💙

Thank you to the organizers for having us as Gold Sponsor, and to everyone who stopped by our AI-DLC booth, joined the sessions and shared their stories with us.

Halit Altuner showed how the AI-DLC pipeline runs on the company brain while humans give the signal. Baran Gayretli walked through why AI needs your organization’s context to get things right.

Lots of good conversations to follow up on. See you at the next one.

Ask anyone who has been to @devopsdaysist what they remember, and it’s rarely a slide.

It’s the person at the coffee table who had already hit your exact problem. It’s the Open Space where six people disagreed for forty minutes and left with a better plan. The useful part of this conference has always been the hallway.

That’s why we’re at Dedeman Bostancı tomorrow. Baran Gayretli takes the Ignite stage at 12:20 with “Knowledge-Grounded AI-DLC”, a short, fast version of the talk. Lunch follows right after, which is the ideal time to find us at the kloia booth and argue about it properly.

Still deciding? Tickets are on the DevOpsDays İstanbul site. See you tomorrow.

One evening in Dubai, we spent time on a boat with close friends and people we’ve worked with over the years. Customers who became colleagues, colleagues who became friends, and a few people who are somehow all three.

We didn’t plan anything, which is probably why it worked. No roadmap on board, just people who already knew each other well enough to skip the small talk.

In this industry, you work with a lot of people. You keep a few of them. This was a good evening to be reminded which few.

Thank you for being part of it.

28 ms on the server. 121 ms in the browser. Same route.

That’s the median from our lab, and the server wasn’t slow. The rest of the wait happened where a backend trace can’t look: the network, the JavaScript, the device in the user’s hand.

Real User Monitoring measures from inside the browser. In our new blog post, we show how to set it up with OpenTelemetry, Grafana and Tempo, with no vendor lock-in. You get a working lab (about 35 lines of code per side), one trace that joins browser and backend, and a first dashboard. It takes about 30 minutes to run, and one command removes it.

Read it here: https://www.kloia.com/blog/real-user-monitoring-with-opentelemetry-part-1

How far apart are your browser and server numbers? Tell us.

AI has handed us a lot of opportunities and an equal number of ways to pick the wrong one. The speed is exhilarating, mostly until you try to keep up with it. Working with cloud was already complicated, and AI has kindly made it more interesting.

That is why we gathered in Palace Downtown Dubai to share our vision for navigating the uncertainties of the AI era.

Speakers and panelists from Emirates ENBD, AWS, Neopay shared their latest learnings, reflected on the emerging best practices, and kindly took questions from the audience to further the conversation.

We closed the day with valuable insights from the industry leaders. We thank everyone who participated in this executive event.

More photos from Cloud and AI Excellence for Executives 2026 in Dubai. It was a good day, and the pictures agree.

AI-driven development and what happens to legacy software afterwards: Dorian Sezen. Why modernization is a business decision before it’s a technical one: Ehsan Tashman. VMware exits, a topic that comes with strong feelings and a licensing invoice: Bilal Ünal and Shafiq Kalla. And the day itself, opened by Burak Koyuncu and Mehmet Cavus.

Photos below. Tag yourselves if you spot yourselves.

Monday’s AIDLC webinar is now on demand, for everyone whose calendar had other plans.

Two ideas from the session are worth pulling out. First, the line between “AI can do this on its own” and “a human needs to sign off” isn’t fixed. It moves as your knowledge base matures, so the AI earns its independence like everyone else.

Second, without context that persists across sessions, AIDLC turns into one-off prompting with extra steps. The gains only compound when the specs, decisions and boundaries are still there next time.

Dorian, Orhan and Jon Swartz cover both, plus what it means when you have to show your reasoning in a regulated environment.
