It's Banned Books Week in the US, where there's been nearly 12,000 instances of book bans in 114 school districts in the 2025-26 school year. That’s not only the most bans counted in a single school year but also the most school districts calling for bans since PEN America started tracking this phenomenon in 2021.

Don't ban books. Just don't.

Books are excellent. People who try to ban books, on the other hand, are not.
