Spraying your countertops? You might as well light up a cigarette.A massive 20-year study out of Norway found that frequent exposure to cleaning sprays wrecks lung function, especially in women. We’re talking the kind of damage you’d expect from smoking a pack a day. And no, this isn’t from some industrial-grade cleaner.It’s your everyday stuff: those sprays, bleaches, and “fresh-scented” sprays soak toxins directly into your lungs while you wipe the counters.The study tracked thousands of people, and the long-term results were scary.Women who cleaned regularly had lung decline on par with long-term smokers. Think chronic irritation, airway obstruction, and asthma risk, all from trying to keep the house clean. And the worst part is that most of the chemicals in the mainstream products are completely unnecessary.
