We’re proud to recognize Elizabeth Brooks, Relationship Manager at our Belle Harbour community, for joining the Alzheimer’s Association’s Do What You Love to END ALZ Committee!

As Elizabeth shared, making a difference doesn’t always require a grand event or generous donation. Sometimes it’s a conversation or simply showing up for someone who needs us.

Through her involvement, Elizabeth hopes to bring people together, create hope, and celebrate the power of community.
Congratulations, Elizabeth! We’re excited to see the impact you’ll make representing Belle Harbour and Koelsch Communities.

We hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! Between Trunk or Treat events, festive costumes, and visits from little trick-or-treaters, there was plenty to celebrate across our communities. 🎃

Thank you to all our residents, families, and staff who made it all possible!

We love celebrating the unique interests and hobbies of our residents!

Recently, Paul, a resident at The Park at Laguna Springs in Elk Grove, California, shared his impressive collection of 3D puzzles with fellow residents.

It’s wonderful to see residents sharing their passions with others, and we’re always happy to encourage each resident’s individual interests and hobbies. Thank you, Paul, for sharing your creations with us!

We’re proud to celebrate Kandis, a team member at The Hampton and Ashley Inn in Vancouver, WA, who was recognized as a nominee for Employee of the Year at the 2026 Clark County Employment Awards, held in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

Since joining the team in September 2025, Kandis has helped in the dining room, preparing for meals and assisting with cleanup. Her coworkers and residents know her for her positive attitude, big smile, and the joy she brings to work each day.

Congratulations, Kandis! This recognition is well deserved!

When Bob talks about finding memory care for his wife, Kathleen, one thing is clear: he wanted the very best for the love of his life.

After years of caring for Kathleen by himself, he found a place and a team he could trust at Cedar Creek Memory Care, one of our Koelsch Communities serving families in the Edmonds, Washington area.

We’re grateful to Bob for sharing their story.

Today, our Deer Ridge Memory Care community held an indoor Mini Walk to End Alzheimer’s ahead of the Pierce County Walk this Saturday. The event gave residents unable to join the Deer Ridge team on Saturday an accessible way to participate and honor all those impacted by dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Association led a meaningful Promise Garden ceremony, and our community partners helped make the day a success. Thank you to everyone who joined our residents and families! 💜

Cornhole is a favorite pastime for residents at The Park at Belle Harbour! Here are a couple highlights from one of our recent tournaments: Kathy’s knock-in of Micki, and Bob and Dennis trading ringer for ringer!

“The people who are suffering here are not the people with dementia and Alzheimer’s….they are the caregivers”

—Jolene Brackey, celebrated author and nationwide speaker in Alzheimer’s education

Spring Creek Inn Memory Care was proud to host Jolene’s recent Family Moments presentation in Bozeman, Montana. As the author of Creating Moments of Joy, she shared meaningful perspective for families and caregivers navigating the memory care journey.
