On going exhibition ‼️ INHABITED FORMS: Objects. Figures. Rooms. What happens when art, sculpture and furniture design come together in a shared space? Inhabited Forms brings together Nigerian contemporary artist @timikakandar Timi Kakandar and furniture designer @gbemidhstudio Gbemi Elekula in a two-person exhibition exploring the relationship between the objects we choose, the spaces we build, and the lives we live within them. Through painting, sculpture and furniture design, the exhibition invites us to consider how forms inhabit our spaces, how objects shape our experiences, and how the things we create become extensions of who we are. Two creative practices. Different material languages. One shared space for dialogue. 30 October – 6 November 2026 📍 Kolanut Gallery No. 2, Ajayi Crowther Street, Asokoro, Abuja. We look forward to welcoming you. by @kolanutgallery

Where Art Meets Creativity Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of attending the private viewing of Inhabited Forms, a joint exhibition by my friend Gbemi Elekula @gbemielle_dh, a creative artist and designer, and an equally talented artist Timi Kakandar @timikakandar , hosted by @kolanutgallery in Abuja. It was refreshing to step away from the usual business and professional engagements to experience creativity expressed through furniture design, painting, and sculpture. I have always believed that creativity, whether in business, technology, or the arts, begins with the ability to imagine possibilities and bring them to life. It was particularly fulfilling to see Gbemi bringing her creative vision to life through such distinctive designs. Congratulations to Gbemi, Timi, and the entire team behind the exhibition. We must continue to celebrate and support African creativity, craftsmanship, and the people building value through the arts. The exhibition runs until November 6 at Kolanut Gallery, Asokoro, Abuja. ABUJA, WE ARE BACK. The 2nd Abuja International Poetry Festival (AIPFest 2026) is here. From 22–24 October 2026, Abuja will once again become a meeting place for poets, writers, performers, artists and cultural workers from Nigeria, across Africa and the diaspora. This year, we gather under the theme: ROOTS & RESILIENCE: A CALL FOR REPARATIVE JUSTICE A theme that invites us to take a look backwards and forwards at once. To examine the histories that has shaped us, the memories we carry, the wounds that remain, and the remarkable resilience of people and communities who continue to create, speak and imagine despite the all the things that hold us back For three days, poetry will move beyond the page and into the city and beyond the walls. There will be the @efepaulazino poetry slam, performances, readings, conversations, exhibitions, workshops, encounters, moments of celebration and also friendships. Different generations and perspectives will meet, creating space for difficult questions, new ideas and the stories that deserve to be heard. We also like to have fun! Do not miss the poetry party- “Poems Apostle Should Not Hear” This is the second edition of a festival built around the belief that poetry can do more than entertain. It can preserve memory. It can challenge silence. It can connect generations. It can open conversations about justice, identity, history and belonging. And this year, we are bringing the festival to three distinctive Abuja spaces: KOLANUT GALLERY LUNA CAFE SPINE & LABEL TRANSCORP HILTON ABUJA Mark your calendar and see you at any of these venues! AIPFest 2026 is curated by @abujalitsociety and @nasaracreative by @kolanutgallery
