POSTS STORIES REELS

This one is from when I became a yoga teacher 7 yrs ago. Everytime I get a lil lost in why I’m doing all this I come back to these moments, when I cried my eyes out about how I believe there’s more to life than greyness. Yoga doesn’t replace therapy, but it’s such a mirror that made me step into who l am much more. Apparently I can be weird and silly, but also nerdy and witty. Emotional and intellectual. Hold political/social opinions in the same regard as the pop culture ones. I don’t have to prove my depth or perform spiritual to anyone. Don’t have to wear linen pants even tho I like linen pants hihi. How relieving.

Since then I took another 800 whatever hours of training and led 3 big ass trainings myself, but the biggest lesson always is to come back to me. Why I started and why this matters. by @koprdik

Revisiting our first Within the Field story.

Earlier this year, we met Dominika Koprdova in Copenhagen to explore her approach to yoga, movement and awareness.

For Dominika, movement is a language - a dialogue between strength and softness, structure and freedom.

Within the Field is our ongoing portrait series exploring purpose through movement.

All movement is great when it’s great. But no other movement modality can help you navigate life, shitstorms and rainbows alike, like yoga does by @koprdik

Alright, so this one is a little bit different.

Instead of our usual evening meetup at a bar (don’t worry, we’ve got one of those coming up this month too) we’re trying something during the day. Something physical, because as creatives, our bodies probably need to stretch and bend just as much as our minds do.

On September 23, we’re heading over to @kailoyogacph for a private Vinyasa yoga class led by Dom Koprdova (@koprdik).

Vinyasa, as it’s been explained to me, means “flowing with your breath,” combining postures and breathing into a kind of creative, meditative movement. It works strength, mobility, and flexibility. It’ll probably ask a fair bit of you, but it should give back even more.

A quick note on the level: it’s a Level 1/2 class with classic asanas and modifications. Everyone is welcome to join, even if it’s your absolute first time trying yoga—Dom is brilliant at offering alternatives. Just keep in mind that it is a flowy class. As long as you’re ready for the flow, you’ll likely really enjoy it.

Here are the details:

When: September 23, 13:00-14:00
Where: Kailo, Badstuestræde 11
Tickets: 100 DKK (only 22 spots available)

We’ll also have snacks and drinks afterward to hang out and catch our breath :)

A huge thank you to @alejandracerda.co for planting the seed, and to Kailo for opening their doors to us.

If you fancy stepping away from your desk, clearing your head, and joining a room full of people trying not to wobble too much, you can grab a ticket via the link in bio.

Feel free to share the link with a friend who might want to tag along, too 🙏 by @koprdik
