POSTS STORIES REELS

‘If you can’t raise the bar, don’t make it.’

That’s the @kostume.cc product ethos.

Our new Deep Winter Bib Shorts are a case in point.

Not simply warmer bib shorts. Proper, technical outerwear-level weather protection, built to withstand all-day rides in conditions that would have most people heading for home.

The highlights?

20,000mm waterproofing
18,000 breathability
Full Windtex® membrane
C0 DWR coating to aid water beading
Our record-proven, 4-layer Italian chamois
Clipless dropseat for comfort breaks
And the freedom to layer up or down as conditions demand

Developed for a world record. Made by hand in Italy, with virtually no waste.

#EDIT013 is now live for preorder, including the return of our sold-out Leg Warmers.

This is our final batch of 2026, limited to 350 pieces only. Preorders close 15 November.

13 is considered unlucky for some.

But when it comes to the toughest riding conditions, we don’t leave things to chance.

Launching at midday (GMT) Friday 30th October, #EDIT013 introduces our new Deep Winter Bib Shorts. Engineered for the best worst days.

Not water-resistant. Not showerproof. Proper, 2-layer, Italian-made, membrane-backed weather protection, with 20,000mm waterproofing and 18,000 breathability.

The kind of specification normally reserved for serious technical outerwear.

Now in a pair of bib shorts.

#EDIT013 will also feature a fresh batch of our sold-out Leg Warmers.

Leave luck to other riders this winter.

There’s a moment on long winter rides when you stop fearing the weather and simply become part of it. The noise in your head falls silent. The world shrinks to the circle of lit road ahead - the rhythm of your breath, the next turn of the pedals.

Nothing else matters except the now.

‘I could have just stayed at home.’

#EDIT013 introduces our Deep Winter Bib Shorts. Featuring a 20k/18k waterproof and windproof 2-layer Italian fabric, and our test-winning long distance chamois, they set a new standard in foul-weather ride comfort and performance.

Preorders open midday Friday 30th October.

As we head into shoulder season - and with #EDIT012 closing for preorder tonight - there are two key products we know will form the backbone of our next 6 months of riding here in the UK.

The first is our Winter Cargo Jersey.

Like all our products, it’s engineered to cover multiple bases.

The recycled double-knit main fabric feels as good as it looks, with warmth and protection that belies its relatively light weight.

But it also performs in milder conditions thanks to the brushed-back sleeves, which share the same weather-resistant fabric as our award-winning arm warmers.

Combined with our Sleeveless Base Layer, it makes long rides in cool, dry conditions a joy. And when the temperatures drop, simply switch to a Long Sleeve Base Layer and add a Gilet.

#EDIT012 preorders are limited to 350 pieces and will ship in the first week of December.

GCN viewers will have no doubt watched with interest as Simon Richardson questioned the very need for a gilet to exist this week.

Clearly he hasn’t tried ours, because there are multiple good reasons it scored a perfect 100/100 review in 220 Triathlon Magazine.

When your main fabric combines industry-leading 30,000g/m²/24hrs breathability with 10,000mm waterproofing and 4 secure pockets it opens a whole new world of riding possibility.

Instead of being a garment you take on and off as conditions change, it becomes a stalwart product for all but the most extreme rides.

Beyond the headline performance, details like custom reflective elastic, a double-ended YKK zipper and the fact it packs down into its own pocket elevates it to all-time classic status.

A HUGE thank you to everyone that came from as far away as Scotland for our sold out evening with @sarah_ruggins and her team at @arnolfiniarts this week.

We knew the #Bristol community would show up, but it was amazing to see how many new faces we met from further afield. A testament to Sarah’s incredible story and the legacy she and her team are building.

In this day and age of exceptional sporting achievement, it was especially nice to get behind the headline numbers and talk in more detail about mindset, preparation, logistics, community and so much more besides. There is so much more to a world record than just numbers.

Thanks to the audience for some excellent questions - and @in_the_jesky for wrangling them.

Thanks to @laisyducker for sharing her experience as part of the LEJOGLE record crew and also excellent work moderating the panel - it’s a LOT harder than it looks!

Thanks to @rmc97__ for somehow managing some levity among the deadly serious points being made about managing wellbeing.

Thanks to @hannahanniex for her insights into the challenges of capturing and sharing the whole thing in realtime, whilst under the immense pressure of life on the move.

And thanks to @rlp_coaching for some really interesting info on how you physically prepare for pushing yourself to the limits without pushing too far!

It was also amazing to see @jamesbusbyimages on the big screen! 🤩

Thanks also go to @arnolfiniarts for running such a slick and friendly operation.

If you couldn’t be there and are still suffering FOMO, don’t worry. We did manage to record it, and will share it as soon as we can. A big final thanks goes to @fergus_coyle for both the filming as well as these images, despite a very hectic schedule.

And this is just the beginning. Follow Sarah as she prepares for Project ATLAS, her 2027 round-the-world record attempt, and sign up to our newsletter for more events like this.

Ever wondered what it really takes to discover the limits of your capabilities - and then keep moving beyond them?

Or what goes into the logistics of planning an official world record attempt that crosses multiple countries, from stifling heat to frigid cold and rain?

Have a burning question you’d love to ask?

Tickets are live for @sarah_ruggins - In Conversation, at @arnolfiniarts Bristol on Thursday October 8. Doors: 6:30pm Starts: 7:30pm

This no-holds-barred conversation will provide an insight into Sarah’s unique perspective and mindset, covering ambition and adversity, resilience and vulnerability, success and failure, the psychology of ultra endurance, and what happens when we start questioning our perceived limits.

The second part of the evening will see Sarah joined by members of her record-breaking team, offering the audience an extended opportunity to ask questions.

We are working on a couple of bonus surprises on the night, and there will also be some ride plans on both the Friday and Saturday. For those coming from out of town, why not stay for a long weekend to explore some of the incredible local riding?

We expect this event to be oversubscribed, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
