i've been on the earth a pretty long time. i am definitely the best version of myself at this current state. i have accomplished a lot and am constantly growing and challenging myself. i've maintained some amazing friendships across a lot of years and still manage to make new connections and friendships along the way. i will never feel lonely because of everyone i've allowed in my life. some of these people, i don't know what i would do without. i grateful for all that i have and all that is coming my way. i can't believe i can say i'm in my mid thirties. 34, i can't wait to see what's in store. by @kristidake

although hiding behind the camera is my happy place, sometimes i have to come out of my comfort zone and become the subject. it helps when trying to relate to my clients, too. i know how it can feel to look right into the lens and feel a little "over exposed." i kind of agree with exposure therapy, the more you do it, the more comfortable you get. just gotta take that initial leap.

i decided that i want to take on more personal creative projects this coming year, but i will still be available for photo shoots on case by case basis ❤️. i really want to use my portfolio to potentially participate in a residency for more travel photography.

as fall approaches, i can't help but reminisce about how amazing this summer was. the highs were high. i only brought my film camera with me sometimes, and it makes me realize how much is missed when i don't bring her everywhere.

the world cup being so close to home was truly magnificent. nothing better than celebrating with and being surrounded by community. the traffic wasn't as bad as they said... and my lifelong friend hassan had his own gallery opening 😭🖼️ and he sold multiple paintings since! i also met some cool photographers this past summer.

all this is definitely worth celebrating. and all is worth taking photos of.
