MOUNT HALF
Chip Time: 1.52.37

Tough day at the office, still a bit unsure what went wrong but from 6km I was struggling to turn my mindset around. From halfway dad biked with me and at about 16km I finally shook off my expectations and remembered that running is supposed to be fun and managed to enjoy the last 5km 🎉 Ended up 5 min slower than welly half two months ago but was honestly proud of finishing! As always was a fun weekend with some of the @445rcwlg crew 🕺

Now the focus switches to biking and swimming but will definitely be back for another crack at 1.45 😁😁 by @ktdoinglife

SUB 1.50 🥳
Overdue half mara recap!!
Second race ever with a solid training block except for the last two weeks 🤒 Was contemplating not racing the day before because of my knee but so glad I did and managed to get a 9 minute PB. The course was a bit long so I stopped my watch at 21.1kms (apparently you’re not supposed to do that @joshuahetherington_ ) My chip time was 1.48.47 but I prefer my watch time personally 😎 Was super awesome to see all my friends get out there and smash their goals as well!!

FIRST HALF MARATHON RECAP 🏃‍♀️
Chip Time: 1.58.08
Was so good to finally run my half!
Had the best support crew ever as you can hear from the video lol. Was super nervous with my watch telling me I was stressed from the moment I woke up but I felt good as soon as I started running. Happy with how I ran for my first one and held pace until round the mount where I started crashing.

Lessons learned:
- Didn’t realise how hard it would be to drink water out of a cup and missed a lot of water stations because it was so busy
- tie up my shoelaces REALLY loose because my right foot went numb 4km in and stayed like that for the whole race :(
- run the shakeout run EASY which I didn’t do and regretted it because I had niggles afterwards

Overall I had a pretty successful training block and it felt really rewarding to complete it after 4 months of running 4x a week. 6 months ago I would never have thought I could ever love running but here we are lol 🎉🎉🎉🎉
