1:1 Strength Coaching, built around you, not a template.

If you’re a woman who wants to get stronger without breaking your body, second-guessing every session, or wondering if it’s “too late," this might be for you.

My 1:1 online coaching is designed for women who:
• Want personalised training, not generic programs
• Are 30+ and value longevity, recovery, and confidence
• Are rebuilding strength after pain, injury, or setbacks
• Want a coach who actually listens and adjusts

I work with a limited number of clients so I can coach properly, reviewing training, giving clear feedback, and adapting things as your body and life change.

This isn’t about chasing numbers at all costs.
It’s about feeling capable, confident, and strong in your own body.

DM “STRONG” to apply for 1:1 coaching.

If you’re unsure but curious, that’s usually a good place to start.

If you’re new here, hi, I’m Krista.

Strength & rehab coach, mum, wife, athlete, and someone who genuinely loves helping women realise how capable they are.

I’ve been coaching for over 10 years, and in that time I’ve seen a lot: beginners taking their first step into the gym, women rebuilding strength after injury or postpartum, lifters stepping onto the platform for the first time, and athletes competing at national level.

My own injuries have taught me as much as my education has, how to rebuild, how to train smarter, and how to support clients through the tough parts, not just the easy ones.

I coach with intention. I coach with patience. And I coach with the belief that strength is something every woman deserves to feel deeply in her life.

If you’re here because you want to get stronger, move better, or find your confidence again, you’re in the right place.

Thanks for being here 💛

Coach K.

One of the things I see quite often during comp prep is athletes getting towards the final few weeks and starting to question everything.

Training feels heavy. Warm-ups aren't moving like they used to. They're tired, their motivation is a little lower and suddenly they're wondering if they're actually getting weaker.

Take a breath. It's ok.

Training creates fatigue. That's part of the process.

As we expose your body to increasingly demanding training, we're building adaptations, but we're also accumulating fatigue along the way.

And sometimes that fatigue can mask the strength you've been working so hard to build.

This is why programming isn't just about progressively adding weight to the bar. It's about managing training stress, knowing when to push, knowing when to pull back and having a taper that allows fatigue to dissipate before competition.

A really important distinction though: feeling exhausted isn't a badge of honour, and more fatigue doesn't automatically mean better results.

If you're struggling to recover, that's something we need to address.

But don't panic because you don't feel like a superhero every session towards the end of prep.

You're not supposed to peak every week.

You're preparing to peak on competition day.

Strength Nation Lift off 2026!

Online Athlete Katey dipped her toes in the Powerlifting scene last weekend at Strength Nation Lift off in Masterton.

We had been working together 3 weeks so it wasn't a usual prep. Katey has come back from a hip injury, and was keen to see how her lifts were moving. Training was all about managing any pain and rebuilding her confidence.

Super proud of Katey for trying something new, Katey has spent many years competing in Crossfit, so she is no stranger to comp pressure, and she handled herself like a champ.

Katey ended the day with:
Squat: 95kg
Bench: 42.5kg
Deadlift: 110kg

Thankyou to Ana, Erika and Sue from Faultline barbell for taking her under your wing and running her warm ups.

We love Strong Women! 💪

As comp day gets closer, it's easy to get caught up in the training. The numbers, the top sets, how everything is moving, whether you're on track.

But the stuff happening outside the gym? That matters just as much.

Sleep, nutrition, hydration, mobility and managing your overall stress are all things we need to be paying attention to, especially when training starts getting heavier and fatigue starts building.

You can't always control how you feel when you walk into the gym, but you can make sure you're giving your body the best chance to recover from the work you're asking it to do.

And no, this doesn't mean you need to be perfect. Life still happens during comp prep. But if you're consistently under-eating, running on 5 hours of sleep and forgetting to drink water, we probably need to look at that before assuming your program isn't working.

The goal isn't to do MORE. It's to get the basics right so you can get the most out of the work you're already doing.

Your training is only one piece of the puzzle.

Save this for your next comp prep, or send it to a lifting mate who needs the reminder.

We lead, they follow.

I was clearly meant to be a girl mum in order to lead her down a path of knowing her worth, I have had to heal my own self beliefs.

This came up with a client the other day and it got me thinking..

She'd had a body scan done and, along with all the measurements and numbers, it had recommended a bunch of supplements she should apparently be taking.

One of them was a fat burner.

Another was L-carnitine.

This is one reason why I get a bit frustrated with the fitness industry.

Because you can take something that has a very small physiological effect and turn it into:

“This will help you burn fat!"

Technically, some of these supplements can increase things like energy expenditure, thermogenesis or fat oxidation.

But that doesn't mean they're going to make a meaningful difference to your body composition.

And “burning fat for fuel” isn't even the same thing as losing body fat.

You don't need to take a supplement to switch your body into some magical fat-burning mode.

You can increase energy expenditure through things you were probably going to do anyway.

Move your body.
Train hard.
Build some muscle.

Yes, having more muscle can increase your resting energy expenditure, but the bigger win is that you're building a stronger, more capable body in the process.

That's the stuff I'd rather invest my time, money and effort into. Not another tub of something promising to “melt fat”.

Do the "boring stuff" consistently before you look at adding these kind of supplements.
