What’s happening here is science. An electrochemical reaction where silver sulphide (the tarnish) becomes silver again because aluminium is more available and easy, sulfur breaks up with silver to start a new relationship with aluminium🤭 baking soda in water is the conductor for this reaction. This is the gentlest way to clean silver because we do not scrape away a layer by scrubbing.

✨Don’t use this method on intentionally blackened silver articles like antique finishes.

Method:
Use only stainless steel container (anything non reactive) to do this in, submerge silver articles in water, add couple of teaspoons of baking soda, tear up some aluminium foil and add it to the water. Boil the contents for 15-20 minutes or until you visibly see the tarnish reducing. More number of silver articles = more amount of foil.

These are the easiest power laddus that you’ll ever make. No added sugar, baby friendly recipe that even my 10 year old likes..

Recipe:
1. Almond, cashew, pista - 1 cup each
2. Walnut - 1/2 cup
3. Flax and pumpkin seeds - 2tbsp each
4. Dates - 150-200g
5. Raisins (i used black raisins) - 100-150g

You can add any other type of nuts and seeds you like with it too.

Dry roast the nuts and seeds and make a powder. Don’t blend it very fine if you like some texture on your laddus.

Make a paste out of dates and raisins and mix the powder you made with the dates raisin paste to make into a laddu.

Take small amounts of paste and powder in a small plate and mix. The quantities mentioned are approximate only.

Store this in the fridge. This also freezes well. One daily in snack box to school. My daughter loved it.

Haven’t done this in a long time! I guess way back in January when friends met, we were talking about how we had all done this in our early twenties.. the experience had to be repeated.

Tea and fresh hot buns, brunch at a cafe, late lunch at a restaurant, impromptu window shopping and back home to reality… that was our day.

Conversation flowed from the moment we started the car and lasted until we all got off.. the best kind of break ❤️❤️

The newest dining experience in town opened this weekend. Terns. @ternsofexperience , thottipalayam pirivu.

The space is big with multiple dining areas, the aesthetics are on point. It will be a great go-to spot for date nights and special occasions.

Went for their inauguration and tried their menu for the night.

Prawn tempura
Charcoal chicken tikka
Chicken dimsums
Paneer pops
Aloo tikki chaat
Mutton shammi kebab
Tofu laksa
And some mocktails!

I especially enjoyed the chicken dimsums - a hint of lemon grass flavor in them was lovely, liked the mutton shammi kebab too, the tofu laksa served in the buffet was made with coconut milk and I loved the south east asian flavors. The most repeated item at our table was the prawn tempura, it is child approved!Forgot to take pictures of the dessert, we had a repeat of their tres leche cake.

Thank you @ternsofexperience @limesodaconsulting for having us there. Wishing my best to the Terns team. The service was on point, the staff were very helpful and mindful. Looking forward to visiting again.

Snippets from the coimbatore style week season 6 by @ideamax_institute_of_design & @theeventtoday that me and my daughter attended. 😍

It was a treat to our eyes. The show was very well organised, professionally done. This was our first ever fashion show and this has set some expectations for us.

The designers and models were impressive. Loved some pieces more than the others. I will share more on stories/highlights.

Happy to have been invited. It was an experience we will think about with a smile for longer.
