Enamel Pin Design Tips and Tricks

We can do a lot with enamel and metal, but we do have some guidelines to make sure your artwork is spot on.

Colours: CMYK

Files: PSD, AI, PDF

Resolution: 300dpi

Design:

• Enamel colours need a die line (a tiny, raised metal wall) between them to prevent colour run. The smallest die line thickness should be 0.2mm, and minimum colour area 0.3mm

• Using text? Please stick to 5pt or above, and outline the text before you send. Complex fonts might need to be bigger to accommodate the 0.3mm colour area

• Indicate the colours of your design using correct colour values. We recommend the Pantone Solid Coating guide.

Got any questions? Just ask!🥰

There’s no shortcut to good enamel pins.

Every colour is filled by hand, slowly and carefully.

This craft works beautifully for complex illustrations, character art and delicate patterns.

A little reminder for creators: tiny spaces can look lighter once fired.

If you’re designing custom pins, keep this in mind ✨
