Story time. I’ve often done some sort of photoshoot for my birthday because I enjoy capturing all of my amazing friends and making art 😊 In 2022, I had a vision for a little dance film and all these talented humans showed up to spend the afternoon at @glowstudios with me and help me bring it to life. It was a fun, silly, sweaty, lovely birthday. But when I went to edit the project, I hit snags, and snags are kryptonite to an ADHD brain. My computer couldn’t handle the size of the footage, I couldn’t get the colour grade to something I was happy with, I couldn’t decide what parts of the song I wanted to use… and ultimately, it was a personal project, so it was never the squeakiest wheel. It got pushed to the bottom of the list and eventually into the “shame pile” - the things that have been put off for so long that I feel a bit like a failure thinking about them. But such things can be dusted off and checked off anytime and, even though years have passed, I still love the vision and I’m so grateful to everyone that leant their time and talent to make it happen AND met me with patience and understanding when it felt hard to see through.

Finish the thing, if you still want to 🫶
