POSTS STORIES REELS
Many people ask me if I have my books listed on retailer websites. Yes, you can find them there, but you can also find them in seven independent bookstores! Consider buying my books at @thecraftybookstore, @thecozybooknookdayton, @snapdragonbooksandgifts, @bookwormomaha, @amethystandinkbookstore, @leafandletterbookboutique, @thefloatingbookshop instead of major retailers. Do some good for small businesses, the local economy, and an indie author all at once! Not near any of these bookstores? Some of the bookstores I mentioned have online shopping and ship directly to you! You can also find some versions of my books online via @bookshop_org, @librofm, and @powellsbooks. Don't have a dollar to spend? Support your community and indie authors by requesting it from your local library (find it on apps like OverDrive and Libby as well)! A little about my books: Book 1: THE FLOATING CASTLE Short Pitch: In a world where demons control the supply of magic and dragons are both feared and sentient, three women combine forces to oppose an evil prince and escape his floating castle. Age Group and Genre: Adult Fantasy (Fantasy Subgenres: Dark/High/Epic) Quick Aspects and Tropes: 🌊 sea of monsters , 🐉 vicious dragons , 🌹 eternal rose garden, 🧙‍♀️ witch matriarchy, 👨‍👩‍👧 family drama and found family, 🫢 political intrigue, ⚔️ war on the horizon Book 2: SPACE, COLLISIONS Short Pitch: A micro-chapbook containing three brief stories. Each installment in this short collection offers motifs of physical distance and intimate connection. Overall, the stories emphasize the common longing to overcome the space that divides. Age Group and Genre: Adult Magical Realism and Literary Fiction Quick Aspects and Tropes: 💔relationship drama, 🌎 moving continents, 🥀tragic romance, 🧪women in science, 🌌 space, 🌙 moon rocks Please consider picking up one or both of my books from an independent bookstore today! ❤️ by @l_n_holmes
I am stoked to announce that The Floating Castle has been nominated for the @indieverseawards in three categories: Book of the Year, Best Debut, and Irreplaceable Sidekick! Look at these cool graphics that Kristina put together for us! If you scroll through the slides, you’ll be able to learn more about my novel. Read about the inspiration for the story, discover the type of book it is, and get a hint as to what you can expect to find inside. Want to read the book before the Indieverse voting phase later this year? You can find my book in a myriad of places, including direct from me, but I would encourage you to support your local independent bookstore with your purchase! Independent bookstore day is coming up, and you can find my book at @thecraftybookstore, @thecozybooknookdayton, @bookwormomaha, @snapdragonbooksandgifts, @amethystandinkbookstore, and @thefloatingbookshop! (My book is also on Bookshop.org, if you want to support your own local favorite!) Thank you to the Indieverse Awards crew and judges for this wonderful honor! I hope you all enjoy the book. ❤️ I am so excited for this year’s Indiverse season! #indieverseawards #indieverseawards2026 #fantasy #darkfantasy #epicfantasy by @l_n_holmes

Realizing my book was included in the latest @theindiebookfair catalog was a dream come true. I'm a day late posting about it, but it was such a nice way to celebrate THE FLOATING CASTLE's first year of publication! 🎉 Thank you, Indie Book Fair team. ❤️ If you haven’t checked out the November catalog yet, you totally should! There are some wonderful books included in this month’s edition. I spotted books by the lovely @bri_eberhart and the fantastic @adamcbassett! The multi-talented @danikalynnbooks, the artist who created the custom artwork of Emmeline from The Floating Castle, is in this issue as well. I also noticed some @thecraftybookstore authors in this issue! I loved the Scholastic Book Fair back in the day, and the Indie Book Fair is like a warm, nostalgic hug every time I open it up to look at it. I’ve seen some of my favorite authors in the past and current issues, and it’s always a valuable experience discovering new indies to check out. I hope you’ll read through the November catalog, and—if you haven’t already—I hope you’ll subscribe to their newsletter for more in the future! Don't forget to circle your favorites. 😊 by @l_n_holmes

The following authors you see are but a taste of what we have in store for you! • 30+ authors. • Each short story includes character art. • Foreword by fantasy author,Janny Wurts! 😮 🐲Check out @mymiriamyvette profile for the link!! ✨️About the Kickstarter ✨️ Rings of Adventure 2026 – an anthology of short stories featuring more than 30 of today’s brightest self-published authors in Fantasy, Romantasy, Science Fiction, Horror, and more. This Ring-themed compendium provides a story every day for the month of December, with brilliant story-telling and artwork. Every story was written specifically for this anthology, most with new characters from the vivid imaginations of our authors; although a few authors have taken the opportunity to learn more about characters that already exist in their novel worlds outside the anthology! The entire work will keep your own imagination enthralled with heroes in armor, to heroes more concerned with amore! And some heroes who might lean toward the darker side. #bookrecs📚 #reading #kickstarter #fantasybookstagram #scifi by @l_n_holmes
