Just a reminder — in case you didn’t know or have only just landed here: Some of my premade cover designs come with ready-made Special Edition add-ons — like pre-designed illustrated page edges and matching endpaper patterns — available at very friendly rates, with the commercial license included. #bookdesign #specialeditionbooks #sprayededges #indieauthor #bookstagram by @labinska.art
Twilight Spell. Third cover in the Spell series, and the hour it’s named for is the one where things stop being quite what they were. Premade, front, spine and back, with title and author name changed to yours at no extra cost. Illustrated sprayed edges are available in three sizes, S, M and L, matched to your page count. Illustrated endpapers are available upon request. A dust jacket can be made to order. I can also prepare the full special edition design for print: cover, dust jacket and sprayed edges, with the colour palette, colour profile, bleeds and print-ready files set up to your printer’s specifications. This cover is sold once, then retired. If no one claims it, it moves to Etsy and my website. Questions and reservations by DM. #bookcoverdesign #premadebookcover #premadecovers #darkfantasybooks #gothicfantasy #fantasybookcover #selfpublishingauthor #indieauthor #authorsofinstagram #sprayededges #specialeditionbooks #dustjacket #bookdesign #illustratedcover #coverreveal #bookstagram #writingcommunity #kdp by @labinska.art
Sun Spell. The daytime half of Moon Spell. Same wreath, same hand-hatched circle, same lettering, turned from night toward morning. Moon Spell sits in indigo and ash-rose. Sun Spell is sea-glass teal and warm gold, with blossom branches that will have dropped by the weekend. Drawn as a pair for a duology, or for two authors who’d like their books to stand side by side on a shelf. Hand-drawn, no AI, no stock. Each cover is sold once. Sun Spell is new. Moon Spell is still waiting beside it. Details and reservations in DMs ☀️🌙 #premadebookcover #bookcoverdesign #bookcoverillustration #fantasybookcover #romantasy #indieauthor #selfpublishing #authorsofinstagram #illustratorforhire #seekingrepresentation by @labinska.art
Three covers, three matching edges. Until November 30, the sprayed edges design comes with the cover at no extra cost. Each of these premades was drawn with its edges in mind: the pattern on the cover continues along the page block, so the book looks finished from every side. Normally the edges are a $35 add-on. For the rest of November they are included. Included with each premade: front, spine and back, ebook file, title, author name and blurb set in your genre’s voice, print-ready files for KDP and IngramSpark. Each cover is sold once and then retired. The three with edges: Moon Spell, Sun Spell & Twilight Spell. Message me if you’d like to reserve one, or ask about the rest of the shop. #bookcoverdesign #premadebookcover #selfpublishing #indieauthor #darkfantasy #gothicfiction #darkacademia #bookcoverillustration #sprayededges #specialedition by @labinska.art
The process of drawing a pomegranate plant—the final stage. I got a bit carried away here! I love drawing plants, and I wanted to capture that richness of the red color. #digitalpaintingprocess #pomegranatillustration #seamlesspattern #premadebookcovers #newbookcoverdesign by @labinska.art

Light practice that turned into pure mood ✨❤️ Sometimes quick warm-up sketches end up being my favorite pieces. Loved playing with warm highlights and vibrant tones on this one! Let me know what you think of this piece in the comments! 👇 by @labinska.art

Day 2 of the Lettering Style Challenge 2026: flared serif. Strokes that widen at the ends, as if the letters are slowly opening. Day 1 left me wondering if I could keep this up. Day 2 answered by adding a gold arch, a vine frame and a berry or two. Perfectionism does not take days off, apparently. DOOM HALL is a hall the garden has already taken back. The arch is the doorway, the vines are what grew in while nobody was looking, and the title sits in the middle like something that refused to leave. Swipe to see the speed paint process video. Day 1 of the Lettering Style Challenge 2026: monoline by @aureliemaron . One weight, one even stroke, nothing to hide behind. I hid behind poppy pods anyway. The prompt asked for a clean line. I started there, then kept going until the word looked like it belonged on a book cover. That's the part of lettering I actually care about: a title that sits inside the illustration instead of on top of it. ASH is a dark botanical cover. Poppies for sleep and what gets remembered, a moth for whatever flies toward the light, and ash for what's left after. Here it is on the cover, so you can see how the lettering reads at book size. Fair warning: I'm not sure I can keep every day this detailed for the whole challenge. We'll see how long my wrist agrees. ASH is available as a premade cover soon, link in bio. Title and author name are customised.
