In true Lacey fashion… the latergram As I prepare for my 3rd WZA SoCal this weekend I figured it’s a good time for me to catch up the grid with some shots from my previous competitions this summer. May: NorCal Classic June: Do More Summer Classic Thanks for all the support this year so far! Trying to stay fit and healthy for the events still to come 🤞🏼✨💪🏼🏁 Excited to throw down with the other athletes from @westlaathletics this weekend down in Huntington Beach! #DoMoreCrossFit #TeamLazerLacey #Crossfit #NCC #girlswholift 📸 @johnshootsit & @easemahcaptures 🙏🏼 by @laceyfema

Blindfold Barbell Challenge ❌❎👀 Can coach @laceyfema properly guess what weight is loaded on the bar for her deadlifts!? 😅 Which coach and movement will be next !? 🤔 …. Stay tuned … #DoMoreCrossFit #BlindfoldBarbellChallenge #BarbellChallenge by @laceyfema
Build a Booty for summer 🍑☀️ A mini series: Video II Hand assisted Single Leg RDL This is my second favorite accessory movement, but also one of my go to warm up exercises I use almost before any training session! I find that this exercise is easy to isolate the glutes and hamstrings when having a little hand support so you can focus on the target muscles. Every rep actively think about stretching out the glutes and hamstrings as you hinge forward towards the ground, then by thinking about squeezing your butt stand back up. Ideally holding the weight opposite of your working leg. Slow down, fast up 👌🏼 People do this incorrectly when their back rounds instead of staying straight, and they don’t lift their leg In order to keep a straight line between their heel and head. Extra points for keeping your hips square and inline with shoulders and not lifting/opening hips to one side. This is a great movement to add into warm ups or accessories after your main lifts. Try 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps 👍🏼 #girlswholift #glutestrength by @laceyfema

Build a Booty for summer 🍑☀️ A mini series GHD Hip Extension Starting it off with my personal favorite and most frequently added in accessory movement! I find that this exercise is easy to isolate the glutes and hamstrings because it basically removes the quads from the equation so you can focus on the target muscles. Every rep actively think about stretching out the glutes and hamstrings as you lower your chest to the ground, then by thinking about squeezing your butt bring your chest back to parallel. Slow down, fast up 👌🏼 People do this incorrectly when their lower back does the moving, not the glutes. Tuck your chin and give yourself a big hug to lock your upper body into place. This is a great movement to add into warm ups or accessories after your main lifts. Try 3-4 sets of 10-15 reps 👍🏼 #girlswholift #glutestrength #coach by @laceyfema

The year was 2016… Before I joined a gym or started CrossFit I would workout in the park or my apartment, a time where I could get into a pistol squat with no warm up 🤣 The year of adventure, starting the new year In Mexico and traveling to new places through November. Listened to Rihanna’s new ANTI album on repeat and Beyoncé dropped her Lemonade Album inspiring me to get my hair braided every chance I could. It was my bold lip era and I got my first tattoo on my arm with the besties. A time when fashion was a priority and I walked in a local runway show. When I would go to the Capital Square farmers market almost every Saturday before a busy day at work. I loved my apartment, one of the things that was so hard to leave when I moved to CA. I would cook so much more than I do now, making bone broth from scratch every winter. A time when my Lunar Bear was still with me 🐰🤍🪽Skating with my high school teammates at our annual Alumni game every Thanksgiving weekend. I miss this version of Lacey at times…I hope she makes some appearances, now a decade later. 3rd Annual Do More Barbell Classic 💀 Sadly this was the only Weightlifting meet I did this year, but it was a good one! Always a fun in house competition and good practice dialing in on technique. Meet PRs in both lifts ✨ After Semifinals I focused a lot more on getting bigger and stronger this year vs making weight for meets but maybe we’ll have to sign up for a competition on a larger stage in my new weight class in 2026! 💪🏽 Snatch 65kg, 67kg🛎️, 70kg❌ (good CrossFit lift 😅) Clean & Jerk 86kg, 89kg, 92kg🛎️ 🥇 overall female Sinclair lifter 📸 @easemahcaptures #DoMoreCrossFit #Weightlifting #Virusintl @westlaathletics by @laceyfema
Oh yea, I did WZA SoCal again back in September… It’s hard not to get discouraged when the placement didn’t reflect all of the hard work I’ve put in, but hey … I paid for these pictures so enjoy 🙃 on to the next one … by @laceyfema
