‼️NEW PB‼️ Proper ecstatic with this fish, the sheer size of him was absolutely insane! Ducked out for a quick solo mission during some rather wet conditions when I managed to run into this big brute of a red dog. Just hopped my plastic off the bottom when I felt a proper good thump, I set the hooks and strapped in.. Instantly he was trying to take me to the structure nearest him which he had me touching at one point in the fight! 3k locked up singing on his big runs back to the structure after turning him multiple times I finally got to see him hit the surface, quick landing into a couple photos and sent him on his way! I’ll never forget this fish or the fight still reminisce on it daily! CANT BEAT RED 👹 Proper glad for the two lads who were chatting to me at the time because without them I wouldn’t have landed this monster of a jack or got these epic shots I have! ( I’m forever grateful to you both, you lads know who you are 🫶🏼) - - Prototype swim minnow in testing from @holtproductions.fish too irresistible for this big boy 🤌🏼 - - Very thick coating of @sax_scent bloodworm for extra enticement 🔥 - - Rod: @shimano.fish Tcurve 5-10kg Reel: @shimano.fish TwinPower FE 3000HG Braid: @taslinebraid 20lb braid Leader: @sunline_aus fc rock 20lb fluro Jig head: Diawa @baitjunkieofficial 2x 3/8oz - - - @sax_scent @taslinebraid @holtproductions.fish @snagaddict @shimano.fish @castmag.co @baitjunkieofficial by @lachies_hooked
🚨 GC BARRA 🚨 Words can’t describe the feeling this fish gave me, after losing many sizeable Mundis it was good to finally get one of this calibre landed and into my hands! Quite a slow night out with one of my good mates @harryhawky so we decided to try a fresh zone, few casts in I ended up bouncing my plastic off the bottom when my rod buckled like no tomorrow line screaming off! Wasn’t sure what I had hooked till big fella come up to the surface thrashing around like no tomorrow getting airborne many times, Put the hurt on him as best I could with the 20lb @sunline_aus and @taslinebraid managed to get him in close where Harry grabbed onto him and I let a huge scream of excitement! Quick couple snaps and sent this beautiful beast off to terrorise the canals once more 🤙🏼! Wanna say a big thanks to @harryhawky / @spinoutfishing for the land and the epic quality photos couldn’t have done it without ya! 🤌🏼 It’s been an epic year for me personally, met some amazing people and caught some epic fish, wanna say thanks to everyone who’s been apart of it 🫶🏼! This jack is a bit of a special one to me, this fella here has to hands down be the tallest and healthiest jack I’ve ever personally caught! He towers my pb which is 60 and this guy was only 58 and weighed upwards of 3kgs This fish was a proper monster for his size you just know he is the bully of the group 😂! All in all stoked to have a good fight with the giant red boy snap a couple quick shots and send him home! 🤌🏼 never gets old putting in work for these giant red brutes! 👹 - (Special thanks to @baileylougheed and @flattybustups for the net job! Healthy Mundi I run into a little while ago, stoked to get the chance to cross paths with these Beasts from time to time! Such a special fish and an even more special feeling landing them! #goldcoast #fishing #barramundi #taslinebraid #whileyouweresleeping by @lachies_hooked
Another healthy GC Mundi, with the season end close by I thought I would share one of these fellas I been holding onto for a while now! Popped out for a solo mission and was a rather slow night till just before I decided to call it I thought I’d make one last stop. Couple casts in just hoping my plastic along the bottom I got belted and wasn’t sure what I hooked into, early into the tussle I got to see this fella come right up to the surface and start thrashing around before he dug back in for another good run! Managed to get the brakes on him and pull him in for a couple snaps for sending him back on his way to terrorise the canals once more 🔥 - - Swim minnow from @holtproductions.fish doing its thing as always 🤌🏼 - - Sneaky touch of gold prawn @sax_scent helping entice this beast - - Rod: @chrisbritton74 mangrove mauler 5-10kg Reel: @shimano.fish vanquish C3000XG Braid: @taslinebraid 20lb 8x braid Leader: @sunline_aus fc rock 20lb fluro Jig head: Diawa @baitjunkieofficial 2x 1/4oz - - - @sax_scent @holtproductions.fish @taslinebraid @chrisbritton74 @sunline_aus @baitjunkieofficial @shimano.fish @snagaddict by @lachies_hooked
@holtproductions.fish respected by @night________vision (feat. @lachies_hooked) Congratulations James on adding another fire colourway to one of the most stacked line-ups in the game. ‘Glow Prawn’ arrives on 23/10/2026 6pm AEST on holtproductions.com.au. The culture is ready. The jacks won’t know what hit them! ⚡️ by @lachies_hooked
Couple of red boys from recent, both took a liking to the new herring paddle from @baitjunkieofficial and couldn’t resist it going past there nose 🔥 #taslinebraid #fishlogica #shimano #reddog #fishing by @lachies_hooked
Few reds from recent, I was recently blessed with having @baitjunkieofficial reach out and ask if I would like to test some new plastics out they had coming along! Fast forward a little after receiving them and decided to head out and give the 4inch herring paddle a crack. Wasn’t long into the night when the bigger model thumped it hard strolling it along the bottom, bit a hefty fight where he had me buried for a second but managed to wrangle him back out no worry’s with the 760MH-SWB from @fishlogica 2 casts later the smaller model had no hesitation to smash it either! Love me some red 👹 - - 4’ herring paddle tail from @baitjunkieofficial - - Nice little smearing of @sax_scent gold prawn - - Rod: @fishlogica 760MH-SWB Reel: @shimano.fish Calcutta 200hg Braid: @taslinebraid 50lb braid Leader: @sunline_aus system shock FC 50lb Jig head: @daiwaaustralia @baitjunkieofficial 2x 1/2oz 5/0 by @lachies_hooked
Ep.54 The Hunt For A 20Kg Mulloway A lap around the sun! I really thought I would’ve ticked this fish off by now but this spot has really kicked my ass this year so I’ve made it my mission to land my fish here to prove to everyone doubting me I can do it. Thanks for all the support this year it’s been a wild ride and I can’t thank everyone enough for following along on the journey! I have a lot of big plans for the next few years so stay tuned and thank you all! #the20kghunt #fishing #neverstop #mulloway #jewfish by @lachies_hooked
