Discovering those sweet spots where femininity comes into play and creates and alter ego to discover, appreciate and enjoy. Diving deep into what surrendering feels like.

Could be that sometimes we forget that we can be whomever we choose to be. What is your alter ego this season? Will love to know.

Grateful for another day I get to do JiuJitsu, grateful for this milestone💜

This art thrives with community than in seconds becomes your family. Dedicated to all the training partners and coaches that have crossed my path and wanted to unconditionally share their passion for this sport, specially for those sweaty hugs in pajamas. There is a lot of hard work we get to do behind these pictures, so don’t get fooled by the smiles, we are smashing each other everyday 😝

Talking about alter egos, this one is a feisty one after putting that gi on!

3 Easy Ways to Start Your Handstand Journey 🤸‍♀️✨

Step 1: Place your hands shoulder-width apart, index fingers pointing up to the sky. Keep your knees resting on the bench.
Step 2: Push through your shoulders to elevate the scapula. Keep your arms straight and gently lift your knees off the bench.
Step 3: Time to kick up! Lift one leg, then use the foot that’s still on the bench to give yourself a gentle kick into the handstand.

Take your time — Practice makes progress 💪
Enjoy the journey!

1. Thoracic Opening
- Place a block behind your mid-back.
- Bring hands and elbows behind your head.
- Inhale, drop your head to the floor. Exhale, bring it back.

2. Shoulder External Rotation on Block
- Place your elbow on a block, ball in hand.
- Inhale, drop your hand to the floor. Exhale, bring it back.

3. Shoulder Internal Rotation
- Rotate to the side, stacking your top shoulder over the bottom one.
- Exhale, drop your hand to the floor. Inhale, bring it back.

STRETCH EXERCISES FOR THE SPINE

Your T-spine is designed to open up or close your chest and allows your torso to twist and bend from side to side.

BENEFITS:
• It Helps Prevent Lower Back and Neck Pain: your lumbar spine isn’t designed to twist, so when it’s forced to, it can lead to pain and injury.

• It Increases Shoulder Mobility

• It Improves Posture: When you have thoracic kyphosis, the muscles in your spine are stretched while the muscles in the front of your body are shortened, pulling your shoulders and chest forward.

1. Spinal waves
2. Spinal rotations
3. QL stretch
4. Inverted neck and lower back release

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞!✨
Discover the art of back-bending with @anabellaloboleon--strengthen your spine, chest, shoulders, and get that good posture! Do this regularly to increase shoulder mobility, thorax expansion to breath better and the rotation of the shoulders. Let's begin!

* Thoracic Opening (weighted) (more advance).
Sit on a flat surface, put a block or roller behind your back, elevate your arms above your head and by keeping your hip on the floor let your arms floor back towards the floor and hold.

* Thoracic Opening (non weighted) (less advance).
If this is your first time, do same steps as above without weight.

* Thoracic Opening with Hip Flexion.
Now add more steps with elevating one leg at a time or two legs at the same time!

* Posterior and Anterior Tilt in Hip Extension (more advance).
Get close to a wall and put the chin of the leg touching it, move the front leg forward until your knee creates a 90 degree angle. Drop the hip towards the floor, and once you reach your deepest range, tilt the hip back and forth. Use a pipe for support if needed.

* Posterior and Anterior Tilt in Hip Extension (less advance).
Elevate your leg on a box and touch the wall with that foot. The front leg move it forward until your knee has more than a 90 degree angle, and with the help of a pipe for balance, tilt the pelvis back and forth. Use a pipe for support if needed.

Hold each pose for 5-10 breaths, stay longer when it feels comfortable.

Last week we worked on our spine mobility with @anabellaloboleon.
Let’s add some shoulder mobility to our repertoire 🙌🏼

With these exercises you can strengthen and increase stability of you shoulder joint which is important to keep the range of motion functioning. Not maintaining your shoulder joints can cause or predispose yourself to injury. If you don’t have full mobility, it can impact neighboring joints like the neck and elbow.

Prevention is always better than treatment so let’s go!

For the first two movements, lay on the floor and have some low to moderate weight and a towel ready. Be sure to keep your elbow position at a 90 degree angle while you do the exercises.

Next up, Scapula Push Ups!
Ensure that your knees are below your hips and your hands are below your shoulders, and to keep your spine in a neutral position. Gently draw your ribs to your hips to engage your core.

Keep your arm straight then push your chest down towards the ground and squeeze your shoulder blades together. Move slowly to press your chest away from the mat as far as possible while keeping your arms straight. This should feel like your shoulder blades are being pushed apart.

For the next exercise, you can either be standing or seated. Bring both hands behind your back, one at the top and the other on the bottom. Move them in opposite positions at the same time.

Last but most definitely not least, Shoulder Pull Overs. Grab a resistance band and hold each end with both hands behind you back and pull at the band at the same time.

If you’re looking to focus more on your joint mobility, Bella is one of our amazing coaches that provide personal training sessions. With years of professional experience, rest assured that we provide the most trained instructors to ensure a safe and progressive practice for everyone, from the absolute beginner to the most professional athletes in the industry.
