Who I ask will tell that little girl that her awara (tufo) will be scattered on the ground and she would be confined to a hospital bed? Here's the full story below ; Kuchibuyi was first a peaceful until the bang happened on the 6th of January 2025. Little boys found something to play with, a charming little girl strolled to her spot to sell awara. If her mother had known, she sure would have stayed back home. Their toy however wasn't what they thought it to be. An IED (Improvised Explosive Device) that's what is was. Yes, a bomb! Now the boys are gone, the girl hospitalized and no one truly knows what happened. #fct #Kuchibuyi #photojournalism #photodocumentary #storytelling #guardiannewspaper #guardiannews by @ladilucie

Palm oil plays a crucial role in Nigeria's agriculture, economy, and cultural heritage. For centuries, it has been a staple in Nigerian households, used in food preparation, traditional medicine, and other applications. Extracted from the fruit of the oil palm tree, which thrives in the southern and central regions of the country, palm oil remains an essential commodity. Currently, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a litre of palm oil costs around ₦1,800 (approximately $2.31 USD). Madam Ife and her family, who farms and produces pure, unadulterated palm oil, offers it in affordable sachets of ₦100, ensuring that every household can enjoy and afford this essential product.#palmoil #fct #nigeria #agriculture #photojournalism by @ladilucie
Today, on World Photography Day, I want to use my photographs from the #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria to celebrate the resilience and bravery of photojournalists, including my colleagues who recently faced harassment and intimidation while doing their job. We endured tear gas, fled for safety, and some of my colleagues had their cameras seized by security agencies - thankfully, their equipment has now been released. I'm sharing my pictures to encourage photojournalists who risk everything to capture the truth. #worldphotographyday #photojournalism #reportagespotlight #gettyreportage #documentaryphotography #endbadgovernance #photography #reportage #protest #documentaryphotographer #nigeria #abuja by @ladilucie

Freedom and peace just like a flag waving in the flow of the morning breeze. The members of the #NLC today have shown for a fact that Nigerians can achieve what Nigerians want to achieve with the right leading voice. They gave a unified response to the call for a peaceful protest which was a full mix of emotions and a display of the togetherness. #protest #abuja #letthepoorbreathe #fct#streetphotography #photojournalism #photodocumentary #videodocumentary #nigerialabourcongress by @ladilucie
