My story began when I embraced the belief in leading by example and became the change I wished to see in the world. I am a veterinary technician and starting my own pet business allowed me to dive into the small animal community. I have been working with animals since 2013 and the knowledge I have acquired helps me to properly educate pet owners and efficiently train my staff in hopes to positively touch as many animal lives as possible. I want to use my platform to promote proper pet care and all the other things that come along with owning a pet. In helping animals, that starts with our client relationships. We make it fun, easy to learn and create a safe place for animals to go and for owners to ask questions. Our company’s homey touch ensures peace of mind and upholds our motto, “Where pets are treated like family”. . #doggydaycarebostonarea #doggroomingboston #boston by @ladyandtheleash

🌈 Hawaii is absolutely magical ✨️ What started as a spontaneous trip turned into an experience I’ll carry with me forever. I’m beyond grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to experience a place this beautiful. I fell in love with the land, the culture, the wildlife, the nature, the people, their way of life, and of course, the true meaning of the "Aloha Spirit". 🌺 Growing up, Lilo & Stitch was one of my favorite movies because I related to the story. Watching two sisters navigate life without their parents, like I had too ... taught me something at a young age: Families can look different, and that’s okay. 🫶🏾 Coming from the life I came from, little me could have NEVER imagined that one day I’d be standing on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, thousands of miles from home, taking it all in with my son beside me. Who knew a voyage to paradise halfway across the world could be so healing? 🧿 And of all the ways I could have experienced Hawaii, I’m happiest that I got to experience it through my son’s eyes too — creating memories with him while teaching him the meaning behind one of my favorite quotes: “Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”🫶🏾 Hawaii, thank you for the endless ear to ear smiles, breathtaking beauty, incredible energy, THE VIBES, unforgettable adventures, and memories that will last us a lifetime. 🩷 And above all, thank you to the Most High for watching over us and blessing us with a smooth and safe journey from beginning to end. 🙏🏾✨ Until next time, Hawaii… because I already know this won’t be our last! "Hang loose, live loose… oh shaka shaka, ain’t no biggie bruddah.” 🤙🏾🌊🌺 . #Wanderlust #Traveler #Hawaii #ParadiseVacation #WorkHardPlayHard by @ladyandtheleash
When theres a fine line between being a REAL ONE & a business owner 🤣 . My favoirte reels to make are the comical ones. But the reason behind this one is no laughing matter. . Please be kind to the people who care for your pets. ❤️ Groomers, veterinary professionals, daycare attendants, walkers, trainers, and boarding staff work in an industry built on compassion — but that doesn’t mean we deserve to be spoken to disrespectfully. . Behind every appointment is a real person working hard to keep your pet safe, comfortable, clean, happy, and loved. Many of us chose this profession because we genuinely love animals — and we pour a tremendous amount of physical and emotional energy into doing it well. ✨ Kindness costs nothing. ✨ Respect goes both ways. ✨ Communication solves more than confrontation ever will. Pet care is physically demanding, emotionally exhausting, and incredibly personal work. Behind every leash, grooming table, kennel and appointment is a human being doing their best to provide your pet with safe, compassionate, quality care. Being a paying client does not give anyone permission to yell at, belittle, insult, threaten, or mistreat the professionals caring for their pet. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who repeatedly mistreats our staff. Because protecting our team is just as important as protecting the animals entrusted to us. ❤️🐾 Be kind to the people who care for your pets. We’re on the same team. #PetCare #PetCareIndustry #KindessIsFree #FunnyReels by @ladyandtheleash

*Volunerable Post* I used to think my empathy was a curse. . Why do I have to feel everything so deeply? Why does every story, every animal, every act of kindness or suffering stay with me long after everyone else has moved on? 🤯🥴💥 . It wasn't until I found my career path that I realized my sensitivity was never a weakness—it was a gift. . My huge heart, my compassion, and my ability to connect so deeply with animals are what made me successful in this field. Skills can be taught. Techniques can be learned. But the fire inside of you to make the world a better place for animals? That's something you're born with. . Every animal that crosses my path leaves a mark on my heart. The trust they give us, the comfort they seek, and the love they share are responsibilities I never take lightly. Their well-being matters to me far beyond the hours I spend with them. . Becoming a veterinary nurse and opening my own pet facility are among my proudest accomplishments in life (right alongside being a mother). . I'll never be able to save them all. But knowing that my time on this Earth is spent loving animals, advocating for them, educating others, and giving them the care and respect they deserve—that's enough for me. . And if I can make even one animal's life a little better, then every ounce of empathy I carry has been worth it. ❤️🐾 . With that being said, my line of work is not always sunshine and rainbows. Aside from the physical demand it takes to work with animals, and the long lasting toll it takes on your body, it also comes with a huge emotional burden we chose to take on. Because someone has to do it. Even if that means taking a break to cry in your car before you show up for your next client. . So, let me leave you guys with this - spay and neuter your pets, get them on pet insurance as soon as possible, adopt dont shop and support ETHICAL breeding ONLY* (because some dog breeds, although we love them - just shouldn't exsist 🥲) . #Empath #AnimalLover #VeterinaryNurse #LocalBusinessOwner by @ladyandtheleash
