It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these! by @ladygrey94
✨Book Review Time!✨ (Full length review is on my blog! Link is in my bio!) Grim Tidings by B.K. Borison 5/5⭐️ October was wild! Maybe that’s calling the kettle black, but what better way to keep things sane than to read a book that you’ve been waiting an entire year for? B.K. Boris has done it again y’all and I was the happiest girl in the world reading this–aside from the times I was bawling. There’s an emotional depth to both this book and Good Spirits that feels like eating a home cooked meal. Having that kind of vibe to a book is what I feel like a lot of us need every once in a while. I love how B.K. Borison is sticking with the holiday seasons in this series and I am stoked to see what comes next. If you’re looking for a comforting, emotional read with some spice, definitely check this one out! Happy Reading, Renee by @ladygrey94
I am completely normal about these books. On an unrelated note, I was so excited when I found the movie-tie in for The Martian! I found it at a used bookstore so my college student butt was jumping for joy.🥹 Do y’all have a favorite sci-fi book or two? 🏷️ #bookstagram #books #indieauthor #romance #writersofinstagram by @ladygrey94
I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open but I only need my ears for music😏 I made a book playlist for HTWOs about a year ago and have been adding to an absolute monster of a writing playlist for HTWOs writing sessions. Here’s what my FMCs been listening to; does she pass the vibe check? Hunting the Wild Ones is my upcoming thriller novel! It follows a runaway scholar whose dark past catches up to her one summer when she runs into an old friend. When more of her past begins bleeding into her bright present, she begins to suspect that the monster she was avoiding might already be circling, and this time, it’s not just her home caught in the crosshairs but her life. Tropes: ☁️ She fell first / He fell (way) harder ☁️ Second Chance Romance ☁️ Black Cat x Golden Retriever ☁️ Dual POV ☁️ Found Family ☁️ Slow burn ☁️ Small town romance ☁️ Gremlin FMC ☁️ Family Secrets 🏷️ #bookstagram #books #indieauthor #romance #writersofinstagram by @ladygrey94
🍂Photo dump from the last week!🍂 It was packed with all the shenanigans and good food. I might be drowning just a little bit in midterms 🤏 but there’s no better time for some frolicking than when I’ve got the calculus blues. I’ve been cooking in the writing kitchen too… 🏷️ #bookstagram #writersofinstagram #indieauthor #books #romance by @ladygrey94
I’ve been fired up lately so I made a reel to match the vibe.😏 I’ve been editing and writing like my butts on fire! I’ve been working on the usual suspects—my debut novel, HTWO, and HTWO No.2… HUNTING THE WILD ONES follows a runaway scholar whose dark past catches up to her one summer when she runs into an old friend. When more of her past begins bleeding into her bright present, she begins to suspect that the monster she was avoiding might already be circling, and this time, it’s not just her home caught in the crosshairs but her life. Tropes: ☁️ She fell first / He fell (way) harder ☁️ Second Chance Romance ☁️ Black Cat x Golden Retriever ☁️ Dual POV ☁️ Found Family ☁️ Slow burn ☁️ Small town romance ☁️ Gremlin FMC ☁️ Family Secrets 🏷️ #books #bookstagram #indieauthor #romance #writersofinstagram by @ladygrey94
My whimsy was sorely drained after staying up late studying yesterday.😔 Please tell me someone caught my AOS reference. Pretty please.🙏 🏷️ #books #bookstagram #indieauthor #writersofinstagram #romance by @ladygrey94
This might be a hot take but, just like how reading books is good for studying writing, watching good film is good for studying plot. I said what I said.😤 Anyone else here like Buffy? This is my first time watching it and at first I was like, Oz?😛 and now I’m like, Spike??🫪 But mostly I’m like, Buffy???😏 For those wondering… Hunting the Wild Ones is my upcoming thriller novel! I have been gnawing through the bars of my enclosure (aka schedule) waiting to post this. It’s the first piece of character art for my upcoming novel, Hunting The Wild Ones, done by the lovely, fabulous @kyliedrawstuff and she worked magic! Go check out her art!! The funnel cake made me sad.😔 More incidents to come in my novel, HTWO… HUNTING THE WILD ONES follows a runaway scholar whose dark past catches up to her one summer when she runs into an old friend. I’m doing the readings for one of my classes and let me tell yall, I did not realize how wacky the people in the Nordic legends/stories are. I forgot how wacky the people in legends are in general.🫪 🏷️ #books #bookstagram #indieauthor #romance #writersofinstagram by @ladygrey94
And what does it say about me as a writer that making a character map hadn’t occurred to me until I started working on HTWO 2? I’ve cropped out all the interesting connections but I feel like the Kronk meme: oh yeah, it’s all coming together😏 🏷️ #books #bookstagram #indieauthor #writersofinstagram #romance by @ladygrey94
