A little pause in my monthly new experiences challenge, and an unexpected trip down memory lane.

Some travel moments deserve a second look, and here it is.😍

I stayed at Blue Ocean Resort during my birthday solo trip to Zanzibar, and I really enjoyed my stay.

The ocean view was beautiful, but what really fascinated me was watching the tide change throughout the day. From a full blue ocean in the morning to the water moving far back in the afternoon, then slowly returning in the evening. It was incredible to watch.

The swing, walkway, gym, rooms and overall atmosphere made it a really comfortable stay.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Zanzibar, this is one to consider.

September was quite an eventful month.✨

iPhone from @istore.ng
Boba tea from @12inchbaguette.ng
Ramen from @the_peppersoupshop

And yes, matcha is still on my list. Need to find out what the hype is about. 🤔

Story time of how my Spice Farm Tour in Zanzibar went, in less than two minutes.

From vanilla and cinnamon to Ylang Ylang, jackfruit, lychee and so much more, there was plenty to see, smell, taste and learn.

Definitely one to add to your Zanzibar itinerary.

Story time of my first solo trip with a layover and the little baggage confusion that came with it.😩

I learnt a few things from that experience, especially about travelling with checked luggage and connecting flights.

If you’re planning your first solo trip with a layover, this one is worth watching.

For someone who loves trying new food, my food exploration actually starts on the airplane. I hardly ever say no to the in-flight meal.😀 Gbe wa!🫴🏽

So far, my stomach has not given me a reason to be selective because I usually enjoy the meals and finish them.

Still waiting for the one that will humble me.🤭

Are you eating everything on the plane or skipping the in-flight meal?

2 hours sunset dhow cruise, Nungwi beach, Zanzibar 🇹🇿

The sunset cruise departs around 4pm and costs about $25–$30 per person.

Music, fresh fruit, people diving into the ocean and two hours out on the water watching the sky change.

Definitely one i’d recommend making time for.

$A stop at the art gallery/souvenir store at Stone town, Zanzibar. Ps: that bag wasn’t a part of my outfit; was checking it out while negotiating, and my tour guide did his thing.😀 Forodhani food night market. They look delish, but be careful. Gat to have them reheated very well before consuming, but still be careful of food poisoning. Paparazzi😀 didn’t end up buying anything here. Courtesy of my tour guide- we can get it at a fraction in the other shops inside the market. Come let me show you. Picked this beauty for $12 which is now sitting on my shelf at home. Catching the ocean view- Nakupenda and prison island can be seen from where I stood. A historical site. Got this chilled Fanta to quench my thirst; eventually got some clothing souvenirs here. I’m not going to be a star, I’m going to be a legend. Bag secured. Last sunset at my hotel. Absolutely loved it here. A hotel with an ocean view? I’m sat! Forodhani night market. A quick car selfie cos the melanin was popping with full force.😌 Stone town tour ended at the roof top of this hotel, where you get the best panoramic view of the town- “allegedly”.😁 Didn’t lodge there, neither was I compelled to buy anything before I could look around. I think my tour guide had a hand in this. by @ladyzavi$

Not my instructor saying “Ewo!” at the end of the video because I was swimming in a zigzag.😭😂

I will get there. I will get there!

Three classes in and I’m already less scared of the water. Excited to see where the rest of these lessons take me.

Have you learnt how to swim, or is this your sign too?
