Whether you give, partner, volunteer or lead, you make Lake County more than a place to live. You make it a community.

As autumn arrives, our team at LCCF is reflecting on the past year with deep gratitude.

Through uncertainty and fear, you came together and found solutions side-by-side. Your generosity and partnership helped us direct vital funding to local nonprofits meeting essential needs, strengthen nonprofit leaders and connect funders and leaders across sectors to build a more thriving and equitable Lake County for all.

Together, we will keep showing up for Lake County. Thank you for trusting LCCF as your community foundation and standing alongside us.

Sincerely,
Your LCCF team by @lakecountycf

Last week, LCCF hosted our semi-annual, in-person RESPOND meeting, gathering frontline human service providers to connect, share resources and strengthen the coordination of client services.

RESPOND is a coalition of caseworkers, counselors, outreach specialists and other frontline providers that offers networking, education and coordination of client services. Members learn about services across Lake County and build relationships that lead to stronger referrals and better coordination for our neighbors.

At this meeting, we were joined by Tiffany King and Elmer Fallos of @warrentownshipil and Cheri Neal and Adriana Ortiz of @zion_township, who spoke about the important roles townships play in connecting neighbors with emergency assistance, basic needs resources and other support.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the conversation such a success!

At our annual Gratitude Gathering, LCCF proudly awarded longtime volunteer Steve Fox with the Martha R. Hinchman Award of Volunteer Excellence.

Established in 2023 in honor of former Board Chair Martha R. Hinchman, the award recognizes exemplary LCCF volunteers who share Martha’s passion and dedication to advancing the Foundation’s impact and mission.

Steve has been involved and served on LCCF’s Board since 2019, including on our Campaign Cabinet and Finance Committee. He has been an incredible supporter and thoughtful thought partner throughout LCCF’s journey to independence and growth.

The LCCF Board and team extend our sincere gratitude to Steve for his outstanding volunteerism and commitment to Lake County.

Congratulations, Steve! by @lakecountycf

LCCF had the pleasure of hosting our annual Gratitude Gathering earlier this fall.

Alongside our caring community of donors, volunteers, family foundation and nonprofit partners, we celebrated the impact of the Campaign for A Thriving Lake County. It was a special moment to reflect on what we can accomplish when Lake County comes together.

We are excited to continue building on the momentum of the Campaign and fostering a Lake County where all neighbors can thrive.

We are so fortunate to have a community that shows up, invests in Lake County and believes in what we can accomplish together. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey and continues to support LCCF and our community!

A special thank you to Gratitude Gathering sponsors, Gurnee Community Bank and Northern Trust for helping make this celebration possible, as well as Independence Grove Forest Preserve for welcoming us into their beautiful space.
