We’re welcoming back one of our favorites 😈
.
.
.
Artist Bio: Jade Dynasty
Jade Dynasty is a legendary pillar of the Pacific Northwest QTPOC community and a definitive architect of the modern Seattle ballroom scene. A genderfluid, Dutch-Indonesian trans woman born and raised in King County, Jade made history as the first openly identified trans woman to vogue in the region.

She threw some of Seattle’s first kiki balls and founded the region’s first Kiki House, the House of Luna, a deeply connected chosen family that laid the cultural groundwork for the community seen today. Rather than just teaching steps in a studio, Jade embedded herself in the local community. She took on the heavy lifting of teaching the elements in the clubs and on the streets, mentoring everyone from homeless LGBTQ youth to local dancers. She brought together the local community and connected them to ballroom communities regionally and nationally, all while claiming physical space where there was none. Through her grassroots organizing, she activated a new generation to formally walk and breathe life into the Seattle runway.

While the House of Luna is no longer active, the roots Jade planted remain the bedrock of Seattle’s ballroom culture. She channels her lived experiences into fierce advocacy for Seattle’s unhoused neighbors. Whether shaping the cultural landscape or fighting for equity, Jade leads with heart, history, and pure fire.
