In 2022, two friends from Westminster, California came together with one vision - to defy the odds and create a line of Jiu Jitsu made by the people who wore it - La Mala Vida Co. was Born. The brand they launched started as a No Gi brand, and now pivots, launching a new Gi collection that combines the contemporary, minimalist and stylist look. #lamalavida #jiujitsu #bjj #nogi #puramalavida #grappling #fitness #mexicanos #mexico #mexican by @lamalavidaco

Different cultures. Different traditions. One shared love for those who came before us. πŸ§‘πŸ•―οΈ This DΓa de los Muertos, we wanted to create something deeply personal. Our sponsored athlete, Elena, is of Iranian-Armenian descent. Together with @lamalavidaco and The Misfits Club, two Hispanic-owned businesses, we wanted to celebrate the beauty of bringing our cultures together through remembrance. While our traditions may look different, the love, respect, and honor we carry for those who are no longer with us are universal. This video is especially meaningful because it honors Elena’s grandmother, a pillar of strength and love in her family. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape. At The Misfits Club, we don’t just share the mats. We share our stories, our cultures, our traditions, and the people who made us who we are. Because those we love never truly leave us as long as we keep their memory alive. πŸ•―οΈβ€οΈ In loving memory of Elena’s grandmother and all the beautiful souls we carry with us. Different roots. Shared love. Never forgotten. πŸŽ₯: @noirbackwards #DiaDeLosMuertos #misfitsfamily #LaMalaVida #ArmenianHeritage #misfitsclub by @lamalavidaco
Competed at Grappling X – West Coast Jiu Jitsu Championships on 11/1/2026 in Westlake, CA. Stepped up to the Juvenile Green/Blue No-Gi division and earned πŸ₯‡ GOLD! Grateful to my professor, coaches, and training partners for their guidance, support, and constant push to get better. Proud to represent @lamalavida. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my journey, and being part of my growth both on and off the mats.πŸ”₯ #BJJ #JiuJitsu #GrapplingX #NoGiJiuJitsu #GirlsWhoRoll by @lamalavidaco
M1 Black Belt Nogi European Featherweight Champion. πŸ–€πŸ₯‡ 2 matches - 2 armbars (wow, shocker), with a 16-0 score in the finals and no points scored against me. The first half of this year was rough. Starting my rookie year with mostly L’s was heartbreaking to say the least and I was ready to call it. I was tired of getting my heart broken time and time again when I knew deep in my heart I was putting in the work. But as always, summer is my rebirth, and I decided to take the summer off to live a little and reconnect with my purpose for doing this. Come August, I had a clear roadmap to get to where I wanted. But as always, life will be lifing at the most inconvenient times and throw the hardest curveballs. The past two months were STRESSFUL. With Jesse’s back injury, I basically had to manage both of our lives, be his 24/7 caregiver, work as much as I could to afford coming here, and manage my training camp while making trips to Midland & Vegas back to back to train. But when I say my village had my back, I MEAN IT πŸ₯Ή Thank you first and foremost to the LOML and coach @jesus_gtz_bjj for the 10 years he’s poured into me as a coach and a partner. To my professors @brunobastosbjj & @jsalinas_jj for always making the time to guide me and push me when I want to retreat. To my friends & teammates at @makanafightacademy @bastosjiujitsu_official @duranbrothersbjj @onewayrymx & @v3kombat .. We may represent different flags, but to me the word team means more than an affiliation. To my nutritionist @nathaliachantre that guided me every step of the way. I got sick right before coming here, got my period, and traveled 17 hours and still came in underweight but fully fueled πŸ’ͺ🏽 My psychologist @athleteanalyst who I’ve only worked with for such a small time, but has already made such a HUGE impact in my approach.🧠 My breathwork coach @isvillad and the team at @wolf.functionaltraining for helping me with my breathing 😀 And last but not least to my AMAZING sponsors @lamalavidaco @stephanies_cheesecakes @sovereign.coffee & @ogfreddyfades πŸ’– Side note: How cool to have TWO Mexican women on the podium at Euros? πŸ˜ŽπŸ‡²πŸ‡½β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯ by @lamalavidaco
