THE COURAGE OF TRUE INTIMACY /// Intimacy takes immense courage. To open our hearts, to reveal truth, to be seen in our tender humanity — both in our radiance, bliss, ecstasy & our pain, confusion, loss … this is radical bravery. My teacher Elysabeth @williamsonelysabeth taught me that the word courage comes from the Latin cor, meaning heart. In Spanish, the word coraje means courage with the same root cor, of corazón meaning heart, at the “core” of who we are. Lately I’ve been deepening my commitment to honesty in my relationships while opening to more TRUE INTIMACY and something powerfully aligned is happening. For years I held back truth to protect someone else’s comfort. It was a pattern of codependency — rooted in childhood and culture — a fear that if I showed my whole self, I might lose love. But something is purifying now — especially in my throat. In Sanskrit, the throat chakra is Vishuddha, meaning “especially pure.” When we speak truthfully, we align heart and expression. We live in integrity. I’m no longer willing to hide what matters. I trust that those who love me will welcome my truth, even if it stretches them. ✨ Intimacy is built on truth, not perfection. Every time I open my heart and share what is real — even a little — I practice the sacred art of coraje: the courage of true intimacy. Inhale: I receive myself fully. Exhale: I let myself be seen. #thecouragetobeseen #coraje #truth #vishuddha #yogateacher #heartled #embodiedtruth #relationshipalchemy #yogajourney #relationalartistry #embodiedbliss #templebodyarts Photo credit @melissarobinphoto temple body artist and goddess extraordinaire by @laralover
Embodied intimacy is the practice of meeting one another in real time through breath, sensation, and presence—slowing down enough to let honest awareness guide the moment—so connection becomes authentic, grounded, and truly shared in the body, not just the mind. Join us for some sweet offerings this month at @allpurposeyoga Friday 2/13 7:30-9:30 And Saturday 2/14 2-4 and Sunday 2/15 2:45-4:45 @yogapodboulderlongmont @ant.rush Send me a DM for deets! by @laralover
🌀 Spiral Two — You Are a Cyclical Being Living in rhythm asks me to listen deeply, know myself, and set boundaries that honor what I hear. As a woman, I feel the tension between my body’s changing rhythms and a culture that expects consistent availability and productivity. My energy, sensitivity, and capacity shift throughout the month. I am building a life that reflects these changes. Thank you the sisters who have modeled and supported me along this path of feminine embodiment and cyclical living …. ( grateful for you 💕@sofiahthom @chameligad @thewomensgrove @avoiceofwellbeing @tracee_stanley @earthsilk.co @_awakened_woman @julietgaiarose ) There is a tenderness to being human that our schedules rarely account for. We belong to the living world and its cycles of birth, growth, death, and renewal. Some seasons ask us to reach outward. Others ask us to turn inward, release, and rest. I am learning to recognize the season I am in and respond with care. In our second spiral, You Are a Cyclical Being, we will practice listening to our bodies, honoring our changing capacity, and cultivating more sustainable ways of living through embodied practice, reflection, and connection. Lily and I invite you into Embodied Rhythm & Right Relating, our three-month online women’s container beginning December 7. Together, we will deepen our relationship with ourselves, our rhythms, and life. 🌀 Spiral One — Space for All of You Welcoming all of myself is an ongoing practice. Sometimes it begins with simply allowing myself to be witnessed exactly where I am. These past few weeks, I have been unraveling and meeting some deep patterns in how I relate to myself and others. I’m noticing the ways I close when I feel vulnerable, and how much tenderness those places in me need. I am so grateful for the friends and community who have made room for me in this process. Being witnessed in my uncertainty, my grief, and my becoming helps me offer that same welcome to myself. Thank you, @jaydigges, @whitneyallen5050 @ant.rush , @avoiceofwellbeing , @tunderose @thewomensgrove and @doulasofboulder to name a few of my sovereign allies in this art. I long for more spaces where we can arrive as we are (messy, raw, untamed, honest, and real) without needing to be more polished, more positive, or further along in my healing journey. And I am committed to creating spaces where our tenderness, uncertainty, desire, and strength all belong. This is where our women’s group begins, and it is a practice I am living alongside you. In our first spiral, Space for All of You, we will slow down enough to feel ourselves more deeply and listen to what is present. Through embodied practice, reflection, and connection, we will explore what needs tending and what becomes possible when we make room for our fullness. Lily and I invite you into Embodied Rhythm & Right Relating, our three-month women’s container beginning December 7. Together, we will move through three spirals of deepening relationship with ourselves, our rhythms, and life. Learn more and join us at larachristine.net/womensgroup. 🌿 Link in bio. by @laralover

Time is a rhythm to live in right relationship with.🍂 We've been conditioned to think of time as linear, something always moving forward, something to manage, maximize, or race against. Yet nature reminds me that life moves in cycles. As I witness my daughter growing, my own body changing, and the Earth turning through her seasons, I feel increasingly called to listen. To become more intimate with the rhythms of life. To honor the changing seasons of my body, my relationships, and my own becoming. I'm learning that each season has its own medicine. There are times to grow, create, and expand, and times to rest, tend, harvest, and let go. Rather than demanding the same energy and capacity of myself every day, I'm practicing a different relationship with time. One rooted in listening, honoring, and responding to what life is asking of me. Less racing against time. More living in rhythm with life. **What is this season asking of you?** 🌿 by @laralover
Something is ripe. 🍂 🍑 Our friendship, our shared vision, and the many years of living, loving, learning, unraveling, and becoming have brought us to this moment. Something has been growing within each of us, and we feel that it is now ready to be offered. Lily and I feel the ripeness of this moment, not only in our own lives, but in the lives of women who are ready to listen more deeply to their bodies, honor their natural rhythms, and trust their embodied truth. We are ready to move beyond the expectations of who we think we should be and more fully inhabit who we truly are. And beyond our individual journeys, we sense a …:::collective ripeness:::.. A growing readiness to live in right relationship with ourselves, one another, and the living Earth. I believe we are remembering something essential about our place within the greater web of Life. We are cyclical beings, intimately connected to the rhythms of nature, and our well-being depends upon cultivating relationships rooted in reciprocity, authenticity, and care. There is something profoundly nourishing about gathering with other women to explore these questions, share our lived experiences, and support one another in becoming more fully ourselves. This is the heart of Embodied Rhythm & Right Relating, a three-month women’s journey beginning December 7. We would love to welcome you into this circle and share in the ripeness of what is emerging. ✨ Details and registration through the link in my bio. 📸 Photo by Anthony Rush, with gratitude for capturing this moment. #embodiedrhythm #rightrelating #embodiedtruth #womenincircle #sacredfeminine I love you @ant.rush @avoiceofwellbeing 😘 by @laralover
🌹 THE SACRED ART OF RECEIVING 🌹 What if we cultivated a culture of sacred reciprocity, where giving and receiving flowed freely in service to the flourishing of all life? I’ve been exploring the gifting economy lately, and it is rewiring my ability to receive the generosity of life. The simple act of giving freely, without expectation, is opening something within me. I am becoming more available to receive the blessings all around me, awakening to the countless ways life is continually offering her gifts. It’s as though my attention is shifting from what is lacking to the abundance that has been here all along. I’m beginning to recognize that sacred reciprocity isn’t always a direct exchange. I’m witnessing it ripple through the larger web of life. When we offer our gifts freely, we participate in a greater circulation of generosity. And dear women, how much of our lives have we spent giving, tending, holding, and nourishing others while our own cups run dry? It’s time to restore the balance. To soften, open our vessels of receptivity, and allow ourselves to be nourished. 🌕 EMBODIED EARTH | Taurus Full Moon Women’s Circle This Sunday, October 25, my dear sister @avoiceofwellbeing Lily and I are offering a gifted women’s circle. A space to gather in community, reconnect with our sensuality, give voice to our embodied truth, and receive the nourishment of Yoga Nidra. ✨ Sunday, October 25 ✨ 2–4 PM Mountain Time | Online ✨ Free and gifted, with no strings attached Come fill your cup. You are so welcome. 🌹 Register through the link in my bio. #sacredreciprocity #theartofreceiving #womenscircle #embodiedfeminine #giftingeconomy by @laralover
Week 10: Ishvara Pranidhana // Surrender & Devotion 🙏 Yoga invites us to cultivate union amidst seeming opposites. There is a beautiful paradox in being called to show up wholeheartedly, practice with discipline, live with integrity, and take responsibility for my life, while simultaneously being asked to surrender. Ishvara Pranidhana is the practice of surrender and devotion to something greater than the individual self. My teacher Bill Plotkin speaks of shifting from egocentric to ecocentric living, where we learn to trust the path of the soul and the greater forces of Life guiding our unfolding. For me, surrender is not passive resignation. It is an active relationship with the Sacred, one in which I am willing to listen, be guided, and trust the Divine intelligence moving through Life, even when I cannot fully understand it. My practice is to show up wholeheartedly, offer my best, and surrender the fruits of my actions. Perhaps this is where all ten teachings have been leading me, inviting me to move from effort toward grace, from control toward trust, and from separation toward communion. I close this ten-week journey with a deepening devotion to living my yoga, not merely practicing it. May I continue to listen, trust, and allow myself to be guided. 🙏 Yoga Beyond the Mat: The Yamas + Niyamas These ten ancient teachings offer a lifelong practice of living in greater awareness, integrity, and relationship with all of Life. Join me at Yoga Pod South Boulder for our final week of practice! @yogapodboulderlongmont 🧘 Wednesdays 2–3 PM | Unheated Pod Flow 2 🔥 Fridays 9:30–10:30 AM | Heated Pod Flow 2 Come practice, explore, and embody these teachings together. #ishvarapranidhan #yogabeyondthemat #yamasandniyamas #boulderyoga #livingyoga by @laralover

Week 9: Svadhyaya // Self-Study 🪞 I am a student first. I have always been a lifelong learner, continually drawn toward personal growth, spiritual teachings, philosophy, psychology, relationships, and the deeper questions of what it means to be human. My teachings emerge directly from what I am living, studying, and practicing within myself. Svadhyaya is the practice of self-study and the study of sacred teachings. I turn toward these teachings not simply to gather knowledge, but because they continually turn me back toward myself — inviting me to become curious about my patterns, question my beliefs and conditioning, listen more deeply to my inner experience, notice where I become reactive or defended, and discover what is true beneath the stories I tell (and sometimes believe). I am committed to being a lifelong learner, not only as a project of self-improvement, but as a path toward greater freedom. “This above all: to thine own self be true.” — William Shakespeare, Hamlet To me, self-study is about becoming intimate enough with myself to recognize what is true — and free enough to live from that truth. 🪞 Yoga Beyond the Mat: The Yamas + Niyamas Join me each week as we explore these ancient teachings as a living practice. At Yoga Pod South Boulder @yogapodboulderlongmont Wednesdays 2–3 pm • unheated Pod Flow 2 Fridays 9:30–10:30 am • heated Pod Flow 2 #svadhyaya #selfstudy #yogabeyondthemat #yamasandniyamas #boulderyoga by @laralover
Seven years ago, our eyes met... from across a velvety, woman-filled room, there was a deep recognition before we could even think. we were immersed in an exquisitely held Women's Embodiment Temple Training. it wasn't sexual... but it was deeply erotic. Raw. Soft. Deep. True. Alive. our bodies had been well tended with our own loving attention. our edges carefully worked, attuned, met. our expressions were cracked open, fluid and flowing. rage, devotion, heartbreak, ecstasy... all of it was within & all of it was welcome. these spaces change you. they awaken something ancient, wild and true. we didn't know it yet but we were meant for more - together. seven years later... and we've moved through many seasons and cycles, walking as sisters in deep companionship. an allyship that has been well tended — not perfectly, but deeply and meaningfully. through clear, coherent communication and patient, loving, embodied embrace, we have supported one another through so much. this world needs more companionship. women empowering women. side by side. in deep support, celebration and solidarity for each other's radiant wellbeing. we are overflowing with womanly wisdom — steeped in our shared devotion to the Earth, the womb, sustainability, regeneration, rhythm and right relating. ... it is time to give from this gift that keeps giving to us. to create a space woven from the years of practice that have ripened us for these times. a well held space where you can be deeply met... by Her. by the Earth. by each Other. by Life.
