Plaza de España in Seville served as the exterior for the Theed Royal Palace in Naboo. In reality, it’s an entirely outdoor open community space built in 1928 with a 515 meter long canal (it’s beautiful).

Shout out to @christianna.novakovic’s film skills for getting this in one quick take!

Telling you I’m a millennial without telling you. by @laurabethsc

And all of a sudden, Christianna and I are front row to Leo XIV’s motorcade.

My Spain trip has been absolutely full of surprises. I won’t say a papal visit was ever a bucket list item, but to be right in the middle of a global moment was absolutely something.

SEVILLE. Did not meet the Barber. However— the castle was one of the most uniquely beautiful places I have ever experienced. Ferdinand and Isabella (and their predecessors) had the most cultured and refined taste.

Cathedral day! In order of appearance:

+ San Antonio de los Alemanes
+ Almudena Cathedral
+ Royal Basilica of Saint Francis the Great (my favorite thus far)

I have much I could say about them, but I’ll drop this here. by @laurabethsc

A rather fun and festive December highlight was attending the @avalaurennebride.sc annual Christmas Ball and fashion show.

@sarahejohannes — thank you for arranging a grand time in 1940s fashion. by @laurabethsc

An evening from the past week that hasn’t yet ended in the continued good it did my heart. 💛 by @laurabethsc

🇺🇸 East Wing, EEOB, West Wing (pics prohibited) and Press “Pool” (but actually the former swimming pool)

Such rich history.

Thank you to the most gracious friend who very kindly and knowledgeably took me though it all 🫶🏼 by @laurabethsc

And so closes (well almost) the academic year with this tremendously talented team! I’m going to miss this crew. They made my job as their “boss” so easy. Thankful to the Lord for their kindness, their love for their students, and for their passion in teaching the discipline of communication. I am looking forward to seeing what God in His providence and grace has in store for each one of us. 💛 by @laurabethsc
